Port City Plumbing's New Hampshire plumbing licence, MBE0002772, held by Port City Plumbing & Heating, LLC, is active on the state registry. The company says it has been in business 30 years, offers 24/7 emergency service and lists a 15-town service area running from Portsmouth, Rye and Hampton to Exeter, Dover and Rochester. A 2025 customer whose water heater failed said they called on a Saturday morning; Joe said he could come out the same day, then came out with a new water heater and replaced it. A 2022 customer who brought a newborn home to a leaking toilet and sink said Port City came right away to fix both. When the sink was still leaking the next day, the 2022 customer said Dylan came back, figured out the basin was cracked and, during a freezing rain storm, drove to the store and came back to patch up the sink. A 2025 customer described quick scheduling, a punctual arrival, nice cleanup and fair pricing. A 2024 customer said the job for their new salon in Portsmouth got done fast. A 2025 customer said they were charged $600 over a leaking toilet, and that it took three workers before the third determined they could not fix the leak. A 2022 customer said two workers came in separate vehicles for a broken refrigerator water line, were in and out in under 15 minutes and handed over a $300 bill. That 2022 customer said the owner explained part of the charge was gas for the vehicles and said he would sue if a review was written; the same 2022 customer wrote that the price was later reduced to $265. A 2023 customer warned of "outrageous cost" on a project. On Google the company holds 3.7 stars from 30 ratings, and its BBB grade is A+.
Another outstanding job by Port City Plumbing. I would recommend them to anyone at anytime.
Charged me $600 to fix a leaking toilet. I told the first guy to show up, “I just changed the wax seal, that’s not the problem.” 1st guy says I’m wrongs it’s the wax seal. Ok. 2nd guy shows up. Takes 2 guys to change a wax seal. Still leaking. Took a a 3rd guy to determine that they couldn’t fix the leak. “Well your toilets not leaking that bad.” Cool having a little bit of Toilet water running down my wall is fine. $600? 3 guys? For maybe 90 minutes of work? Not cool.
Water heater crapped out, called them on a Saturday morning. Joe called me and said he could out the same day. Just what I was looking for, he came out with a new water heater and replaced it and got me my hot water back up and running. He also offered great advice. Would recommend this company to any one looking for fast service.
Very organized and quick scheduling. Very punctual arrival. Competent high quality work, including very nice cleanup. Fair pricing. Totally satisfied, will definitely use them again.
