Pratt's Tree Service is a Halifax tree company that says it specializes in tree removal, whether a tree is hazardous, too large for the yard or impeding a project, and that it gives options to suit a customer's budget. Its website lists free estimates, 24/7 emergency service and insurance. A 2026 Google review recommends it to the south shore area, calls Dave's quote more than reasonable, and says the remaining pile of wood was picked up the following day. In a 2025 review, after a windy night brought down a very large limb and a second limb took down the power line, David came the next day for an estimate and was back the next day to remove the tree. Another 2025 review describes Dave Pratt and his crew handling an emergency removal after a heavy storm, of a tree that fell on and wrecked a shed and a second tree left halfway fallen in a third tree's branches, with next-day service that took about 30 minutes all-in; on a second visit they removed a number of dead trees. A third 2025 review says Dave took down a huge maple and a dead pine and cleaned up everything, and a fourth notes that David takes great care working around structures like a greenhouse and pergola. In a 2024 review, David and his crew set up quickly and trimmed two trees in a short period of time, with fair prices, and left the site clean. In 2023, Dave came out the day after a large oak uprooted and lodged in another tree over a deck, gave a very fair price and scheduled the job quickly because of the tree's position. A 2023 review describes the removal of two big trees on a property in Hanson, with the crew arriving early and leaving no limbs behind. Another 2023 review describes a mid-winter cleanup of leaning and fallen trees by David Pratt and his crew, who left the property spotless, and a 2023 customer had Dave Pratt and his crew remove a tree that had grown into a fence line so a new fence could be installed.
