Pratt Trucking is the curbside trash name people in Webster, Dudley and Oxford say first — one neighbour on a July 2026 Nextdoor thread said the company has picked up for them every other week for 28 years, calling it reliable and reasonable, and mentioning a senior discount and that you can call with questions about what can be recycled. The company works out of 22 Town Forest Rd in Oxford, and its own site says it was based in Webster from 1933 until the move to Oxford in June 2011, describing itself as family owned across three generations of the Pratt family. What it does is straightforward: weekly and bi-weekly residential collection with a 100-gallon wheeled cart and single-stream recycling, commercial containers and compactors, two sizes of rental dumpster for construction, roofing and household cleanouts, and special pickups for large items for existing customers. Its stated service area is Webster, Dudley, Oxford, Charlton, Sutton, Auburn and Douglas in Massachusetts, plus Thompson, Putnam, Danielson and Killingly across the Connecticut line. The word of mouth in July 2026 ran mostly warm. A Charlton neighbour reported good service and reasonable pricing, another said the crew never misses a day, and a Sutton resident named Pratt among two haulers they have had great experiences with. A Webster resident frustrated with their current company said they were switching to Pratt. The one clear complaint is price: another Webster resident said they left Pratt over a $50-a-month charge for every-other-week pickup, and a neighbour who switched to a competitor said Pratt "wasn't too bad" but they preferred the alternative at $45 a month weekly. Two things are worth knowing before you sign. There are no customer reviews on any platform in this record — everything above is neighbours talking on a local forum, not collected reviews. And the ownership picture is not as simple as the website suggests: a March 2024 waste-industry report listed Pratt Trucking in Massachusetts among asset purchases made by the largest public waste companies during 2023, and the Better Business Bureau profile for the Oxford address names a district manager rather than a family principal, while the site still describes the business as family owned. The BBB grades it A+ and states plainly that it is not BBB accredited. A sensible call for routine weekly or bi-weekly household trash and recycling in the Webster-Oxford-Dudley area, or for a cleanout dumpster. Ask for the current monthly rate in writing and confirm the term — the company's published service agreement runs a year and renews in three-year terms unless cancelled with sixty days' written notice.
