Premier Outdoor Group is a Nashua, NH company that designs and builds gunite pools and outdoor living spaces — patios, kitchens, fire features — for coastal Rhode Island towns from Barrington to South Kingstown. Several reviews on file were written when the business went by the name Stone Edge, or Stone Edge Design, tied to the same Google listing, describing custom pool builds rather than maintenance work. The strongest period on record runs 2021 into 2022: reviewers describe building gunite pools with the team, naming Scott, Stefano and Brian as hands-on through design changes, permitting and installation, and calling the finished pools their best build yet. One customer who had built two pools before called this the easiest of the three. The more recent record is mixed. A 2024 review describes a pool overhaul that left the surrounding yard covered in excess concrete and debris even though the pool itself came out well, and a separate 2024 review says a spa and pool resurfacing project ran from March to September before a third party had to fix a roughly half-inch-a-day leak the crew left unresolved. A 2025 review describes waiting about two years for a callback on a pool tile problem, saying calls went unanswered. A 2022 reviewer said an early-stage inquiry about a smaller project was brushed off as not worth the company's time. This is a company with a real track record of ambitious gunite pool construction, but the newest reviews on file — from 2024 and 2025 — describe slower follow-through and unresolved issues rather than the responsiveness earlier customers praised. Ask pointed questions about current project timelines, punch-list follow-up, and who handles a problem after the pool is filled, before signing a contract.
Please believe me don’t hire them. They not reliable if you call, Karen will answer you. She’ll say someone will call you soon and you can wait like I did two years unfortunately they tile my pool I had problem, I call but never answer my phone calls. I had a hire different company to fix the problem
Great customer service!
Pool & Spa resurfacing project from March 2024 - Sept 2024. After the incomplete project, due to unresolved issues, we hired a third party to successfully address a ~0.5-inch leak per day & other problems. If you are considering working with any company, especially when investing tens or hundreds of thousands of dollars, I recommend taking the following precautions: - Consult an attorney: Have a lawyer review the contract to ensure it is mutually protective and fair. - Control payments: Make sure the last phase payment in the contract is not due until after the work is complete. Negotiate phased payments tied to project milestones & hold back a portion until all work is completed to your satisfaction. - Get the warranty in writing: Ensure that any warranty or guarantee is documented in the contract before signing. - Verify insurance coverage: Get in writing proof of insurance for all contractors and subcontractors before signing any agreements. - Watch for red flags: If the company belittles or dismisses these precautions, take it as a warning sign. A reputable company will understand and respect your due diligence, especially since they drafted the contract. - Do thorough research: Conduct a comprehensive web search, including the company name, the owner's name, and terms like "lawsuit," "Better Business Bureau," etc. to identify any potential concerns. - Document: Before any work begins, take clear photos or videos of the area and all property involved. Continue documenting during the project to help prevent disputes about what transpired. - Trust your instincts: If concerns about workmanship, quality, etc. arise early in the project, address them immediately. It’s often better to cut your losses and move on rather than continue investing in a project that may not meet your expectations.
Our association had Stone Edge do a complete overhaul of our pool. The pool looks fantastic. Unfortunately, they left a mess behind, including piles of excess concrete and debris. While they are not landscapers, one would expect that they return the surrounding area to about what they found when they arrived.
phone call I had with Scott, i knew I was in good hands. Their communication is fantastic, they are here when they say they will be here and their work is top notch! Scott does not leave your side through the entire process. He is always available and will frequently check in with you. I highly recommend Stone Edge Design!
