Verified record
Prescription Turf is a Middleton lawn-care outfit best known locally for turf fertilization and treatment programs — the kind of service homeowners call for a green, weed-free yard. The written record here is thin and split. A 2020 Google review praised a technician, Steve Swanson, as polite and a hard worker. But in a 2012 review, another customer described the opposite experience: a fertilizer application that left large dead spots across the lawn, and calls to the company that went unanswered afterward. Worth asking about before booking: what the company does when a treatment doesn't take, and how it follows up if something goes wrong — the 2012 account is the clearest signal on file about after-the-fact responsiveness. With only two reviews spanning eight years, there isn't much of a current record to lean on. A recent reference is worth asking for before committing to a treatment plan.

This company does not stand behind their work. My lawn is dying, it has big dead spots everywhere. The company that cuts my lawn said they think it's the fertilizer that was put down by Prescription Turf. I have been calling all Prescription Turf all week but their phones just ring, no voicemail. I went to their website and sent numerous emails asking if someone could please come out to look at my lawn. I did get a telephone call back in the beginning, unfortunatley I wasn't home, saying we want to talk to you about your service instead of saying, yes we will send someone out to see what the problem is please call and let us know when it is okay. Now all their phones are disconnected. I have nowhere to turn and my lawn looks like hell. I have paid them a ton of money for their total lawn care and I feel totally ripped off.
