SavATree - Tree Service & Lawn Care

A 150-year-old copper beech, a hemlock hedge and a run of lilacs: that is the standing work one April 2026 customer has SavATree do, alongside cabling and tree trimming. Mature trees that need a plan rather than a chainsaw are what this Middleton branch gets called for. It works out of 206 S Main Street, and the company's site says the branch has served northern Massachusetts communities in Essex and Middlesex counties for 12 years, with ISA Certified Arborists on staff. Several of this year's Google reviews name the people who did the work. A July 2026 customer traced the job from a first appointment with John Duffy through the day the crew trimmed their trees, describing that crew as professional and skilled and noting how long those people have been with the company. In May 2026 an arborist named Jackson drew up a detailed plan and then came out to explain it to the team on the day of the work. A March 2026 review credits Ben for staying reachable by email and text, and says the crew showed up on time, went over the scope of the work first, and left a complete and thorough cleanup. Another April 2026 customer said a yard full of big challenges went as planned, with no surprises against the quote they had been given. The written history behind that runs much longer and most of it is old: the Angi profile carries entries from 2005 to December 2025, with the bulk of them before 2017. A 2009 customer described the office manager, Jennifer Johnson, reaching them by email and phone and coordinating an appointment with arborist Ann Bennett, and a 2010 reviewer wrote that SavATree was the only tree company they contacted that actually came on the day it promised. The December 2025 entry mentions the company also maintaining the customer's lawn, which fits the organic and hybrid lawn-care programs listed beside pruning, takedowns and stump grinding. Trade coverage puts the branch here well before that: a 2020 item reported Spruced Up Tree and Shrub being folded into SavATree's Middleton operation, and a 2022 article counted Middleton among the company's Massachusetts branches. Price is the thing to settle up front. The April 2026 customer with the copper beech gave four stars, said the results pleased them, and put the other half plainly: the price is definitely high. Angi and HomeAdvisor list TCIA accreditation and ISA- and Massachusetts-certified arborists on staff, and the company's site cites ISA certification as well, so ask who the certified arborist on your job will be — in the recent accounts, that person wrote the plan and briefed the crew. For mature or awkward trees where you want the work scoped before anyone climbs, this is the branch to call. Get the quote in writing and ask what it covers — ongoing hedge and shrub care as well as the day's takedown — before the crew arrives.
