Stone is where the specific praise lands. One customer described two patios and a walkway leading to the front door, with John explaining which stone to use before anything was built. Another hired him for two jobs at once — a lawn installation after a new septic system, and a large stone patio. In a March 2026 review, a homeowner whose hillside yard pooled water that occasionally reached the basement said that since the regrade they see no water and have green grass. These are long relationships. A March 2026 reviewer counted more than 30 years of landscape construction, maintenance and snow plowing; another, in September 2025, said close to 20 years; a baseball organization wrote in March 2026 that the company has handled all its field work for well over a decade. Price comes up unprompted in several reviews — reasonable, fair, competitive, honest about quotes. Two things to ask about. The company's own site and its Angi profile put the founding at 1985 and 41 years in business, while its Better Business Bureau profile — an A+ grade, not accredited — puts it at 26 years in business; if that history matters to you, ask John. The site also advertises firepits and outdoor kitchens alongside the patio, walkway and retaining-wall work, so ask for photos of a recent one if that is your project. For a South Shore homeowner who wants hardscape built by the owner who quoted it — a patio, a walkway, a wall, or a wet yard that needs regrading — this is a straightforward call. Get the materials and the scope in writing, and ask for a current certificate of insurance before the crew starts.
