Prime Home Experts Inc.

Prime Home Experts, run out of Plymouth by Joao (also going by John) Ferreira, holds an active Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration (#218372, registry-verified) and works across greater Boston — Plymouth, Quincy, Braintree, Newton and a long list of nearby towns — doing handyman work, carpentry, tile, painting and kitchen/bathroom renovation. One February 2026 review captures the pattern clearly: what started as a simple faucet swap during a condo renovation turned into a major water-manifold failure, flooding and HVAC damage. The reviewer said Prime, acting as general contractor, took immediate ownership of the emergency and saw it through, with Joao and the crew handling the on-site repair work. That same willingness to step up when a job goes wrong shows up elsewhere: in a 2025 review, Joao cleaned up and regrouted an entire tiled shower in a single day after an amateur job had left it a mess, and in another 2025 review he arrived within an hour of a call for an emergency floor repair. Several reviewers describe repeat business — one customer listed a string of projects (ceiling trim, outdoor furniture assembly, a patio door, shingling and trim repair on a Victorian home) all handled by the same crew, and another said Joao "has done many repairs for us." A cleaner named Jacqueline also gets called out by name in a couple of 2025 reviews for thorough, unhurried work. A few older Thumbtack reviews, from 2024, are about furniture and car upholstery cleaning rather than home-repair work — a side job, not the core of what Prime does. Thumbtack's own "License verified" badge for the company carries no license number attached, so that particular badge shouldn't be read as confirmation on its own; the state registry listing above is the one that's actually verified. Directory listings also disagree on the company's size — one lists 1 employee and 2 years in business, another 4 employees and 3 years — so it's worth asking directly about crew size before a bigger job. For handyman work, tile repair, or a renovation that might hit a snag, Prime Home Experts has a track record of stepping up rather than walking away.
