The South Shore carpentry and repair outfit says it is owner-operated by Ray Haggerty, and it holds 4.9 stars from 38 Google ratings. Trim and exterior wood are the backbone. A May 2024 customer had all the rotting wood on a colonial replaced before a paint job, from appearance boards to clapboards, and said it came in under budget. In June 2024, two customers had rotting trim replaced; one also had four windows swapped and said the quote was almost spot on. Decks come up again and again: an April 2024 deck build finished on time despite unforeseen rot, skirting added in September 2023 and June 2025, and a July 2025 deck repair. Several customers hired Haggerty's to clean up after someone else. In October 2023, a customer whose general contractor lost his license mid-addition said Ray and David finished all the exterior work in two and a half weeks. An October 2025 customer had exterior doors reinstalled and the first company's problems fixed, and a March 2026 homeowner said basement stairs were finished less than a week after the first meeting. Smaller urgent calls get the same attention. In a March 2026 review, a customer whose gable vents were damaged by an animal said Ray put temporary screening up the next morning and installed new vents within a week. February 2026 reviewers credited the crew with clearing snow and ice dams off their roofs, and a March 2024 customer had a leak-damaged plaster ceiling replaced and matched within about a week.
