Prime Home Services is a family-owned shop out of Russell, in the far western reaches of Massachusetts, that's been doing two things since 1998: home inspections and bathroom remodels. Thomas Skrodzki runs it and passed a background check on file with Thumbtack, and the company describes a service area stretching across Hampden, Franklin, Berkshire and Hampshire counties, with reach into northern Connecticut. Only five written reviews are on file, but they tell a consistent story. A 2018 review calls the home inspector thorough and someone the reviewer would recommend to a friend buying a house; two from 2019 describe a mold issue explained clearly and a termite inspection scheduled around a tight timeline. The newest, from 2021, describes duct cleaning that left a newly purchased home smelling noticeably better. Thumbtack's own count is stronger on volume — 4.9 stars across 33 ratings, 94% of them five stars, 40 hires and a Top Pro badge from 2020. Basement moisture work is the other half of the business. The company is an authorized SafeBasement installer and a BreatheEZ dealer — both waterproofing-specific credentials — and one 2019 reviewer mentions getting a quote for a wet basement. Mold remediation and radon mitigation round out the offering, backed by mold and radon certifications, though there's no customer account yet of a finished remediation job, just the credentials and the service listing. On the remodeling side, Houzz shows one completed bathroom remodel, in Westhampton. Before calling, it's worth knowing that nobody's posted a review since 2021 — the company may simply not chase reviews, but there's nothing more current to weigh. A Massachusetts CSL number (080948) is listed on Houzz; that's the directory's own listing, not something verified against the state registry here. The company says it offers a free onsite consult with no obligation, plus 0% and same-as-cash financing options, a low-cost way to check the fit before committing to a bathroom remodel or a waterproofing job.
Chris and Jacob came to clean the ducts in our newly purchased home today and did such a thorough job. I can’t believe how gross they were before they cleaned them. It doesn’t smell like old burning dust anymore when the heats turned on. These guys were also so nice, polite, and informative. If I ever need to get them cleaned again I will request these two to do it! Thanks again…
So far we just have a quote following a site visit, but are already appreciative of the process. Looking forward to getting this wet basement taken care of soon!
They were pretty prompt in responding and in getting me an appt. Jeremy was very nice and explained to me about my mold issue. He was very courteous and prompt and cleaned up very nicely. I am very satisfied with the job he did.
Mike did a thorough termite inspection, explained things to us including next steps. They were able to schedule us within our requested limited timeframe. Thank you!
We had our home inspection today and couldnt of asked for a better home inspector! Tom was super friendly, very professional and knowledgeable. He was extremely thorough with his inspection and I would definitely recommend him to anyone I know who is buying a home!!
