Pool wiring is the work Priority Electric Inc puts first. Its website describes forty years of residential and commercial pool wiring, bonding and control work done to NEC 680, with the phone still answered by Paul or Michael. The company lists a service area that includes Berlin, Hartford, New Haven, Fairfield and Greenwich, and its BBB profile describes 24-hour emergency service for residential, commercial and industrial customers. It holds 4.5 stars from 40 Google ratings and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. A recent customer had a meter box replaced on a 98-degree day right before a holiday weekend, when most places were closed or closing, and said the team secured all the necessary components to complete the job. A 2023 customer said four electricians showed up early and completed the electrical system for a pool in one day, and the town inspector came the next day. A 2022 customer said the company set up the bonding for a pool deck upgrade, and that Paul helped coordinate the timing of the work with other contractors on the project. A 2024 customer said the company serviced an old pool heater and later installed a new one, and that Mike found a pool pump problem was the cord, not the pump. A 2022 customer who had an above ground pool installed said the company handled the wiring for it and then redirected a kitchen outlet, a job that turned out more complicated than expected. A 2023 customer said they installed a Nema-1450 outlet with a 50A breaker for an EV charger in the garage at a reasonable price. A 2023 customer said the company did the complete job on a whole house generator replacement, including placement, plumbing and all electrical. A 2023 customer said Paul and the company got back to them on a Saturday to help with troubleshooting. A 2024 reviewer, a commercial property manager, said they had contracted with Paul and his team for numerous projects at that property. A 2025 customer said the first appointment was a no-show, a second appointment confirmed by email was also missed, and a credit card had been required ahead of time. A 2024 customer who asked for help with the burner area of a pool heater said a promised callback still had not come after more than a week, and booked another company.
Had to have my meter box replaced on 7-2-2026. Most places were closed or closing and their team managed to secure all the necessary components to complete the job. Amazing team going above and beyond on this extremely hot day of 98 degrees right before the holiday weekend. God bless these good people.
I had an appointment today with Priority electric. And I had EXCELLENT service ! Very professional, curtious, knowleable , respectful of property, answered all my questions. I have always used Priority electric services in the past and I certainly will continue to do so in the future . 2 people today that did work at my house deserve 20 stars 🌟. And thank you Trisha . Thank you so much. Karen Ouellette New Britain
Horrible experience. First appointment didn’t show up for at all. When I called they said they rescheduled it for 2 weeks without contacting me. Next appointment was confirmed by them via email- again did not show up. When I called they put me on hold for 15 minutes then said technician was running behind and would not make it. Again with zero communication. This after requiring my credit card ahead of time. No respect for a customer’s time.
I am a commercial property manager and have contracted with Paul and his team for numerous projects at the property i manage; it has been a fantastic experience every time! From the office staff through the team that comes out - always professional, always courteous and always willing to go the extra mile to get the job done and done right. I highly recommend Priority Electric for all electric needs - residential and commercial.
Mike and his crew are great. They serviced my old pool heater and this month installed a new one since mine was 13 years old. There were a few hiccups but they were on top of all of it and fixed them. I also had an issue with my pool pump and Mike determined it was the cord not the actual pump. Most other places would sell me a new pump and not even offer to replace the cord giving me hopefully a few more years. I will only call Priority for my pool electric/heating etc from now on.
