Pro-Tech Contracting is a Burlington general contractor that says it has been in business 33 years. Its own site lists a service area running from Burlington, Williston and Shelburne down to Middlebury, Bristol and Vergennes and up to South Hero and North Hero. A 2025 customer said Larry and his team removed and replaced some drywall to deal with a small mold issue in a bathroom. A 2025 reviewer wrote that Pro-Tech replaced a rotten carport support post with pressure-treated wood and did not go over its estimate. A 2025 customer said a rotted porch pillar was replaced on schedule, and that when a defect showed up on top of it a couple of days later, Larry sent workers back to fix it. A 2024 customer described a job that ran from drywall through spackle and taping, painting, flooring, trim and hanging doors, and said it beat the timeline by over a week. I used Larry and his team to address a little mold issue in my bathroom - essentially removing and replacing some drywall, I couldn't have been happier with the process. Timely, affordable, and great communication! Would certainly hire again.
I recently used Pro-Tech to replace a rotten support post on my carport. They were fast, responsive and did great work, replacing the old post and caulking with new, pressure-treated wood, and didn't go over the estimate they gave me, despite needing to change some materials as the job progressed. I would recommend you give Larry and his team a call for your next job.
One porch pillar of my house needed to be replaced because of rot. I called around to get quotes from multiple local companies. Pro Tech Contracting gave me a good price, and offered to work according to my schedule. The owner, Larry, was easy to communicate and work with. His team completed the work on schedule. It is not easy to find a good house repair team these days. I am glad I chose this company, and will hire them again in the future. An additional note: a couple of days later, I noticed a defect on top of the replaced pillar. I contacted Larry and he sent workers back to fix the problem. Very quick response.

Protech contracting was amazing to work with. They went above and beyond to help with unexpected repairs needed after significant water damage to my house. They walked me through the process, were honest, fair, responsive and did a great job! Honestly, they made the best of a really hard situation for me.
