That is the long view on a South Dennis paving company its site says Jimmy Nardone founded in 1972. R. J. Nardone Construction installs asphalt, stone and stone-seal driveways and does sealcoating across Cape Cod. The company describes itself as family-owned and puts itself at 54 years. Its Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office certifications as a Women Business Enterprise and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise are both verified active, the WBE certification running to 29 September 2026. BBB grades the company A+ and files it under paving contractors. Customers describe the prep in unusual detail. A September 2023 reviewer watched cracks filled wide and the seal applied by hand; another that month described the squeegee method with no spills or overage; a third had roots dug out in three patches, new tar laid, then the seal coat a few weeks later. One August 2023 driveway was graded specifically so it would stop puddling in front of the steps. A July 2023 customer compared the prep crew to a NASCAR pit crew — everyone with a role. The other thing customers keep mentioning is the phone. A June 2024 homeowner having a private road graded, stoned and paved said the crew kept them informed about weather delays at every step. A March 2023 reviewer was told when to move the cars out and how long to leave the finish coat alone. Another in August 2023 had called several contractors — one never returned calls, another did a site visit and never sent an estimate — and Nardone came back. Several name Mike as the person who does the site survey and the quote. Fifty-three Google ratings average 4.9. Two accounts go the other way, and both are about the work itself. A September 2023 reviewer said a driveway Nardone completed poured water into their garage, called the sales approach fast-talking and the price high, and said the dispute reached small claims court. Separately, a 2015 comment posted on a business-directory site claimed a driveway had been laid with no base material and was cracking badly. Ask directly how pitch and drainage will be handled at your garage, and what base goes down — then get both in the written scope. Nardone is a solid call on Cape Cod for a driveway replacement, a private road, or a seal coat where you want the crack filling done properly. Settle the drainage plan, the base specification and the price in writing before the trucks arrive.
