Ralda's General Service is a Chelsea outfit that, despite the generic name, describes itself as a janitorial and cleaning specialist that also takes on interior and exterior painting and post-construction clean-up — the company says it has about nine years in business, with owner Mynor Ralda named throughout its reviews. What the reviews actually describe, though, skews toward painting. In a 2022 review, a landlord described hiring the crew to prep and paint an entire two-bedroom apartment within a week of the quote, plus cleaning the fridge, stove, bathroom and cabinets before a new tenant moved in — "looks terrific," they wrote. Other 2021 and 2022 reviewers pointed to the same pattern: Mynor communicating on time, adjusting scope mid-project, and walking one homeowner through a detailed room-by-room cost sheet for a job spanning 13-foot ceilings, moldings and pocket doors. Not every account lines up. A HomeAdvisor reviewer who hired the crew for painting and a bathroom remodel wrote in October 2021 that problems surfaced within six months: the wrong paint left streaks, a new bathroom floor squeaked, grout cracked, two faucets leaked (one needing an emergency repair, one staining a granite countertop), a toilet needed recalibration, and a repainted sink peeled. That reviewer also said several crew members weren't trained professionals in their specific trades — worth asking about directly for anything beyond straightforward painting or cleaning, like plumbing fixtures or flooring. Across the 19 ratings behind its Angi and HomeAdvisor pages (November 2017 to May 2022), 89% are five stars; the company also says it speaks Spanish, offers free estimates, and provides emergency service. It's a fit for interior painting and move-out or post-construction cleaning, where past clients describe fast turnarounds — for anything touching plumbing fixtures or flooring during a bigger job, get specifics on who on the crew is doing that piece of the work.

Good value for the price. Mynor was effective in communicating on time and completion of the project. He was easy to work with and was willing to work with me when parameters of the project changed. I hired him for interior painting, carpet cleaning and some other minor carpentry work. His quote was not the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. I believe it was good value for the cost.
THEY ARE ON TIME, THEY ARE EXCELLENT
Very responsive, viewed job, provided quote and was able to begin and complete job within 1 week. Prepped and painted entire 2 BR apartment. It looks terrific. They also provide cleaning services and hired them to clean fridge, stove, bathroom, cabinets, etc. They even noticed the stove hood vent needed painting and did a nice job with that. Unit looks great and ready for new tenant. Will call them again for my next painting or cleaning job. And recommend them to others.
Unfortunately, though the work appeared to be done correctly, less than 6 months later most of the projects the team completed started to fail... I sadly discovered that though the crew were (overall) hard workers many of the crew werent certified professionals in their areas of expertise. IE- PAINTING Though the crew painted my entire house, many were not professionally trained painters, I trusted their expertise to know what paint would best fit my houses needs. However, though Mynor and his team were given the exact paint (even the paint cans) the walls had previously been painted with, this paint proved to be flat paint (which was not what I had given them/asked for) and though I previously never had streaking of paint in the bathroom due to moisture, the new paint in the bathrooms is now streaked and runny looking in less than a 1/2 years time. BATHROOM REMODEL (CONTRACTORS and PLUMBER) The new bathroom floor that was installed began to squeak a few months later. Also some of the grout (near the tub) began to crack/wear away. The new bathroom faucet began leaking underneath the sink (needed to have an emergency repair with properly fitting pieces/piping installed). If I hadnt discovered the leak, it would have been a water disaster. The new toilets flushing system had to be recalibrated since the toilet wasnt flushing properly and the bowl would not refill and be empty. If that werent enough, just this week, I discovered the right bathroom faucet is now leaking and water is now staining the granite countertop. (Another person will need to be hired to fix this problem.) from improper installation and the sink (which had been repainted with a special shellac waterproof paint) is now peeling and chipping. (It looks awful.) I a civil service professional who works hard for my money and extensively saved for these renovations/updates. I am distraught as I vetted and interviewed with this company because of the guarantee of quality work...
The crew was excellent. Hard working, friendly, and professional.
