A January 2022 customer called Ralda's, got a quote, and had an entire two-bedroom apartment prepped and painted inside a week — and hired them to clean the fridge, stove, bathroom and cabinets while they were at it. That mix is the business. The Chelsea company describes itself as a janitorial and cleaning specialist that also paints interiors and exteriors, cleans carpets and floors, and handles post-construction clean-up, with owner Mynor Ralda named throughout its reviews. It self-reports nine years in business — its own About text says over ten — along with Spanish-speaking staff, emergency service and free estimates. Its written reviews run November 2017 to May 2022: 4.7 stars from 19 Angi ratings, 89% of them five-star, and the same 19 reviews carry the same average on HomeAdvisor. Several describe the same sequence — a quote delivered when promised, a crew that showed up on the day, the room finished on schedule. A May 2022 homeowner who hired them for interior painting, carpet cleaning and some minor carpentry called it good value, and said Mynor worked with him when the parameters of the project changed. In a July 2021 review, a homeowner with thirteen-foot ceilings, extensive moldings, pocket doors, window frames and radiators in play said Ralda explained who would do the work and how, and gave a detailed cost sheet. One account runs the other way, and it is the one to raise on the phone. A homeowner writing in October 2021 gave one star: the work appeared to be done correctly, but less than six months later most of the projects the team completed started to fail. That job was painting plus a bathroom remodel, and the complaint itemizes it — bathroom paint streaking because flat paint went on instead of the paint the customer supplied, a new bathroom floor squeaking, grout cracking, two faucets leaking (one needing an emergency repair, one staining a granite countertop), a toilet needing recalibration, and a shellac-repainted sink peeling. The same reviewer said many of the crew were not trained professionals in their trades. For painting and cleaning — an apartment turnover, a condo repaint, a post-construction clean-up — this is the kind of job the reviews describe going well, and a 2017 customer said they had already done many jobs for him. If yours crosses into plumbing, tile or flooring, ask by name who will do that part, confirm the paint and materials that will actually be used, and get the warranty the company advertises in writing.
Good value for the price. Mynor was effective in communicating on time and completion of the project. He was easy to work with and was willing to work with me when parameters of the project changed. I hired him for interior painting, carpet cleaning and some other minor carpentry work. His quote was not the cheapest nor was it the most expensive. I believe it was good value for the cost.
THEY ARE ON TIME, THEY ARE EXCELLENT
Very responsive, viewed job, provided quote and was able to begin and complete job within 1 week. Prepped and painted entire 2 BR apartment. It looks terrific. They also provide cleaning services and hired them to clean fridge, stove, bathroom, cabinets, etc. They even noticed the stove hood vent needed painting and did a nice job with that. Unit looks great and ready for new tenant. Will call them again for my next painting or cleaning job. And recommend them to others.
Unfortunately, though the work appeared to be done correctly, less than 6 months later most of the projects the team completed started to fail... I sadly discovered that though the crew were (overall) hard workers many of the crew werent certified professionals in their areas of expertise. IE- PAINTING Though the crew painted my entire house, many were not professionally trained painters, I trusted their expertise to know what paint would best fit my houses needs. However, though Mynor and his team were given the exact paint (even the paint cans) the walls had previously been painted with, this paint proved to be flat paint (which was not what I had given them/asked for) and though I previously never had streaking of paint in the bathroom due to moisture, the new paint in the bathrooms is now streaked and runny looking in less than a 1/2 years time. BATHROOM REMODEL (CONTRACTORS and PLUMBER) The new bathroom floor that was installed began to squeak a few months later. Also some of the grout (near the tub) began to crack/wear away. The new bathroom faucet began leaking underneath the sink (needed to have an emergency repair with properly fitting pieces/piping installed). If I hadnt discovered the leak, it would have been a water disaster. The new toilets flushing system had to be recalibrated since the toilet wasnt flushing properly and the bowl would not refill and be empty. If that werent enough, just this week, I discovered the right bathroom faucet is now leaking and water is now staining the granite countertop. (Another person will need to be hired to fix this problem.) from improper installation and the sink (which had been repainted with a special shellac waterproof paint) is now peeling and chipping. (It looks awful.) I a civil service professional who works hard for my money and extensively saved for these renovations/updates. I am distraught as I vetted and interviewed with this company because of the guarantee of quality work...
