RBC Bran Home Improvements, Gas Fireplace Restoration and Cleaning, CT

Alan did a great job on the inspection of the chimneys on the roof. The office was very responsive in coordinating with the appointment. Showed up on time and Alan provided a detailed description of the inspection with a report to follow. I highly recommend them! Thanks!

It takes a lot for me to sit down and write a review, but I feel obligated to warn others about how poor my experience was with RBC Brand Home Improvements. I contacted them regarding an issue with my gas fireplace. I was quoted $40 for someone to come out and assess the problem, with the understanding that if we decided to move forward, they would then provide a repair price. Instead, after roughly five minutes of work, I was suddenly charged $200. This was never clearly explained or agreed upon beforehand. What made the situation worse was the unprofessional service. The technician left without reattaching the glass or putting the wood back into the fireplace, and did not test it before leaving to see if there were any other problems. When we turned it on afterward, the house smelled strongly of gas. I have called the company multiple times seeking help with this new issues that was not there before the repair and cannot get anyone to call back. Between the misleading pricing, half assed repair, and lack of accountability afterward, this was a terrible experience. Please do yourself a favor and do not use this company.
