Reliable Masonry & Chimney has been hired for patios, walls and hearth work. A 2022 customer said it was the third time they had asked the company to complete a project at their home. That customer listed a patio with a ghost wood ceiling, a repaired and newly installed fireplace box, and a finished basement with a new ceiling, sheetrock and a custom-made barn door. A 2021 customer said Jesse came out the next day to look at a patio project, gave a fair-priced estimate and was able to begin the following Monday. A 2021 customer wrote that the company only charged for what needed to be done and that they paid less than expected. A 2021 customer said that after six days of rescheduling and three days of work, the hearth was falling apart and another contractor would be needed to rebuild it. A 2021 customer said 80% of a wall was done, then the company was seen for only three hours in a month and a half and did not show on a promised Monday. A 2021 customer wrote an update saying Jesse gave a reasonable explanation, completed the wall within the bounds of the contract and put in stairs with granite treads. A 2021 customer said the work was not done as promised, phone calls went unanswered, and they had been waiting over 3 months. A 2024 customer wrote: "He is a thief." The Better Business Bureau gives the company a B- grade and lists one complaint.

This is the third time we have asked Reliable Masonry and Chimney to complete a project at our home. Excellent workmanship with attention to every detail. Professional and prompt. Installed patio with ghost wood ceiling last summer. Repaired and installed new fireplace box this winter. Completely finished our basement including new ceiling, sheetrock and custom made barn door. We would highly recommend Reliable Masonry and Chimney.
This is an update to my earlier review. Jesse contacted me and gave me a reasonable explanation on my issues. He completed the wall and it looks great. The wall was still completed within the bounds of the contract. He even fixed a minor issue with the wall that I didnt even notice. The stairs he out in have granite treads and look amazing as well. many neighbors have commented on how great it looks. If my other review is still up, donâ t use it as a basis for hiring or not.
Same as Patricia P. I hired them, they have done 80% of the wall, which looks pretty good, and then have not seen them but three hours in the last month and a half. I have a stack of brick on the ROW and kids at the bus stop hang around it. Pile of rocks that they play on too. I called to ask what is up and he said they would be here the following Monday but no called and no-showed. Unfortunately, he has a month to finish the job until I throw him off my property.
