Resort Spa Services Vermont sells and services hot tubs out of a showroom in Rutland. The company describes itself as a pool, spa, hot tub and patio furniture distributor serving the Rutland, Killington, Okemo and Stratton areas, and says it has been at it for over 20 years. A recent customer, a long-term client, said they did not show up when they were supposed to and that the office staff, Tom specifically, was awful; that customer said they "got fired right before ski season leaving me in a bind," and also said Drew was great. A 2024 customer said the business scouted the site, explained exactly what needed to be done and installed a spa on time and on budget. When a slight problem came up after the install, that 2024 customer said Rick drove out the same day, a Saturday after the store had closed, and fixed it. A 2024 customer wrote that Resort Spa Services handled the maintenance of their hot tub and called them responsive, reliable and professional. A 2026 customer said Tom came out the next day to deal with a problem with their propane stove. A 2023 customer who ran an AirBnB said they used the company for almost 10 years, then installed cameras on the hot tub and found they had been charged on multiple occasions for a drain and clean that was never performed. That 2023 customer said the visits were about 5 minutes to check the chemicals, and that they usually didn't show on the day they were needed. A 2022 customer who went in looking for information said the guy at the counter told them a product "isn't worth their time."
I mirror Mike’s review. I turned a blind eye on them not showing up when they were supposed to because I was a long term client. The office staff, Tom specifically, was just aweful. Eventually got fired right before ski season leaving me in a bind. They couldn’t care less. Zero customer focus. Drew was great. I’m not sure where the positive reviews came from. I would not recommend doing business with them.
This should be a five star plus review. I absolutely love my propane stove. I had a little problem with it and Tom came right out to deal with the problem The next day . I’m sure it’ll be up and running again very soon!!I’m looking forward to doing more business with them in the future
Great experience with this group. Got a beautiful spa. The install was easy. They came scouted the site - told us exactly what needed to be done and installed on time and on budget. We had a slight problem after install, Rick drove out immediately same day and fixed it - it was a Saturday and after their store was closed.
Resort Spa Services has been beyond wonderful regarding the maintenance of our hot tub. They are always reponsive, reliable, and professional and we wouldn't have anyone else doing the work. Excellent all-around!
I'm an AirBnB owner and was beyond disappointed with this company, the rudeness of the owners, and charging for services not provided. My review mimics the other 1-star reviews, and for good reason! I used this company for almost 10 years because I thought they were the only game in town(there are many other much better companies around now). It wasn't until I installed cameras on my hot tub that I realized they were completely lying in the services they provided. Then Tom, one of the owners, asks me, "What's the problem here." Well, I have you on camera not providing the service you're billing me for. On multiple occasions, I was charged for the expensive drain and clean when they never performed a drain and clean. They actually stopped by for about 5 minutes to check the chemicals and left. After they were called out on that they made up for it by making sure to bring in a water truck to fill my hot tub instead of using my hose like they always did until I caught them lying on services. Water trucks are quite expensive so they did that to charge me even more. They also do not follow instructions from owners and always give an attitude when you call them. Tom, an owner, is just a nasty man and should probably retire. I had to constantly check up on them because they usually didn't show on the day I needed them to. With running an AirBnB you need professional and reliable companies to run your rental. Resort Spa Services caused me numerous headaches, revenue lost, and bad reviews because of their lack of caring for the customers they service.
