Eighty-three Google ratings average 4.9, and the same names keep reappearing across the last few months of reviews — Sam, AJ, Serge, Daniel. Rexton Moving & Storage is a Watertown company that describes itself as family-owned, working local and long-distance jobs out of the Boston area; its own site lists piano moving, custom crating, and vehicle shipping alongside standard packing and loading. The recent reviews describe specific, repeat business rather than a lucky stretch. One customer had an actual emergency on a Thursday and needed help the next day; Rexton had moved them before, and a workable plan came together within hours. Another move out of a second-floor condo under a tight deadline went smoothly, with every piece of furniture handled carefully. A full apartment got wrapped, disassembled, and reassembled fast enough that one customer joked six stars weren't enough. Not every recent story is clean. One reviewer says the crew disconnected a washer this February and left the plumbing connection leaking; when it was raised, the response was 'we are not plumbers,' leaving the customer to pay for a plumber separately. A long-distance move to Maine in January describes some items left behind on a flat-rate quote, though the owner is credited with addressing it afterward — that reviewer's own advice is to build in a contingency for anything not covered by the flat rate. The thing worth asking about directly is the Better Business Bureau's F rating, which the BBB attributes specifically to a failure to have a required competency license. That sits next to a federal SAFER registry entry showing an active USDOT number for the company — two different pictures from two different sources, worth reconciling with a direct question before booking. For a local or long-distance move with a lot of furniture to wrap and carry, the volume of specific, recent praise here is real. Ask what the BBB's licensing finding refers to, and if a washer, dishwasher, or anything with a water connection is part of the job, confirm in writing who's responsible if a hookup fails.

These guys are very professional, efficient, and reasonably priced. They handled our move from NH to 2 places in Brookline perfectly. Highly recommend them!

Serge and Daniel helped move us out of our second floor condo under a tight timeline and were extremely professional, efficient, and easy to work with. They took great care of all of our items and furniture. Would definitely use again in the future!

I could not have asked for a more excellent service than with the gentleman of Rexton. I encountered an emergency unexpected situation on a Thursday and needed to respond the next day. Rexton had moved me before and so I contacted them immediately. They said they would try to work something out with their already busy schedule for Friday, but called me within a few hours with a special plan that respected both their y schedule. (current client & my own needs) They came through beyond the wildest expectation. They are so kind, so efficient, so able to adapt to whatever complications arise. They deserve more than 5 stars! This is my second moving situation with them & I can’t recommend them highly enough. There aren’t good enough words! They are mature for their years, , so hard-working & come through with everything they promised-all at a very, very reasonable price. I hope many of you reading this will sign on with Rexton Movers.

One of the best moving experiences I've ever had. The team was so professional and kind. Moving can be so stressful and Rexton helped me every step of the way. They have great rates and it was nice to work with a local company.
