Olympia Moving & Storage is a moving company based in Watertown, MA; its website claims 30 years in business. On one recent move from the 3rd floor to the 1st floor of the same building with no elevator, all 3 movers finished in just under 3 hours; Jennifer, who was coordinating the move, called afterward to check in. On a recent interstate/cross-country move, Olympia delivered on time and on budget, and the pack/unpack was very efficient. In another recent review, Olympia moved kitchen equipment with ease, in a situation the reviewer thought would be very challenging. A recent reviewer wrote that Olympia moved their mother from a condo to an independent living facility. In a May 2025 Reddit thread, a commenter said Olympia had moved them both interstate and locally, that they had been happy each time, and that they would always go back. In a 2025 review, a reviewer warned against paying for any kind of valuation coverage, writing: "They will weasel their way out of paying for anything they broke." In a separate 2025 review, a reviewer wrote that they reported 3 boulder/rocks missing after delivery and that the only response was that no one remembers them. In a 2023 review, a reviewer wrote that on the day of the move their new sofa was torn, their new oak floor was scratched and their refrigerator was broken by the movers.

“Olympia has been great for me (two DC -> Boston moves).”
Olympia did a wonderful job moving my mother from a condo to an independent living facility. Besides being careful and efficient, they were especially sensitive to our needs given the situation. I highly recommend them and would use them again.
Team was great. Did an excellent job making our move easy. Showed up on time and handled everything with care.
Could not have been a better experience. Frequent communication with the office was so appreciated. Jen checked in frequently and answered all our questions. Highest praise goes to the moving crew, led by Ciprian. They are so professional, careful with the breakables and truly a pleasure to work with.
Ryan has been extraordinarily efficient and good at everything to do with arranging the quotes and the move. We had 5 locations to which were moving and everything has gone smoothly.
The team at Olympia are very professional, responsive and helpful. They have done excellent work for us over the few years we have been using them and I would highly recommend them to anyone.
