The headline number on Angi is 4.3 from 15 ratings, and the first thing worth knowing about it is when those ratings were left: the written record runs from 2019 to 2020 and stops there. Nothing has been posted since. Richards & Son works out of 1 Fosdick Terrace in Lynn. Angi lists it under handyman, deck and porch work, doors and windows, electrical and repairs — but the jobs customers actually wrote about are mostly junk, debris and building-material removal and hauling, nine of the fifteen. That gap between the service menu and the work people hired them for is the clearest thing about this profile. The scores are not uniformly good. Two of the fifteen are substantive complaints rather than shrugs: a half-star account of roughly 700 to 800 square feet of asphalt paving described as needing to be dug up and redone, and a two-star account of a price that kept climbing on a deck that ended up unstable. Both date from July 2019, and both are about workmanship rather than manner. The positive reviews from the same stretch describe crews showing up on time and clearing sites cleanly. The page also contradicts itself on how long the business has been going: its highlights say 8 years of experience while the About text on the same page claims over 16 years in home improvement. It states 'Se habla espanol'. This is a small, dated profile — right for hauling and clear-out work if you can get a current reference, but the paving and deck complaints sit in exactly the trades the profile advertises. Before booking anything structural, ask for recent addresses you can look at, get the scope and price in writing up front given the pricing complaint, and confirm the business is still trading, since nothing has been posted about it in six years.

The whole crew were friendly and worked hard to demolish and clear all debris. I am quite satisfied and would call them for similar projects.

Luckese Richards lacks experience laying Asphalt paving and seal coat. I do no recommend him to hire him for Asphalt Paving. He paved about 700-800 sq ft, which now needs to be dug up and redone (uneven, improper drainage (pooling of water), protruding gravel from improper compacting, improper/poor adhesion of seams -- overall poor workmanship due to inexperience)

Felt like price kept being increased for work which ended up being rickety and unstable
