J.E. Watkins Construction Company

J.E. Watkins Construction Company is a Lynn, Massachusetts general contractor that describes itself as veteran-owned, serving Eastern Massachusetts and Southern New Hampshire. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor license is active on the state registry, held under Brent Watkins, and the U.S. Small Business Administration verifies it as a Veteran-Owned Small Business and a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business; the Massachusetts Supplier Diversity Office verifies it as a Service-Disabled Veteran Business Enterprise. Building-permit records show 40 permitted jobs since 2020, mostly roofing and siding work in the $8,500–$18,800 range across towns including Belmont, Everett, Revere, Methuen and Lowell. The company's own description also claims projects as large as $150 million, a scale well beyond what the permit record shows. BuildZoom separately lists a Massachusetts construction supervisor license, #CS-108712, for the company, alongside a self-reported service menu spanning demolition, additions, decks, kitchen and bath remodeling, windows, roofing, plumbing and electrical work. This is a solid match for roofing, siding or general contracting work in the Boston/North Shore area; confirm the project scope, price and timeline in writing before signing a contract.
