Rider Home Improvement did a great job with our cabin portico project. We wanted to cover our front entry steps with a small exterior addition to protect the steps and keep the entry free of snow and rain. The cabin is rustic, so we wanted rough sawn cedar and stone bases to keep the look of our log cabin. Craig Rider was extremely good about being pro-active, following up promptly, and showing up when he said he would. We had a few sub-contractor and weather issues that impacted our schedule, but Craig kept us on his radar and made our small project a priority. We had a few concerns about material quantities, measuring, and overall design aesthetics, but with continuous in-person conversations, we achieved what we set out to achieve. Craig’s pricing was fair and transparent. We enjoyed working with both Craig and his son, David, and are very pleased with the final project.Show more+3
Very well. Craig was very conscientious about my needs and opinion, checkin with me regularly. Working on an old house has a unique challenges, but Craig and David worked together to find solutions. Craig was also a wealth of information for me regarding the finishing touches that I plan to do.
Very well. It is an old house with no straight walls. Craig worked diligently to make sure the bath walls we purchased fit and were plumb. The floor was also a challenge being uneven which Craig did very well addressing it. He used various techniques to level the floor and place the new tile. Very easy to work with and he had good solutions to the problems he faced. He always checked with us to be sure his actions met our expectations.
I only wish that there were more than 5 stars. From the moment we met Craig, we knew that we could trust him and Aaron to guide us through the confusing, and uncertain task of completing our dream home (inside and out). He communicated and initiated conversations that led us to our final vision. As craig says " whatever you want " means just that. If you dream it, they will make it happen! Thank you from the bottom of our hearts 💕 Lovell, maine Post #2 Thank you and your crew again and again!!! You always seem to know exactly what we are trying to accomplish. Thank you for always being proactive, communicating and then executing the final design. We have been awestruck every time you complete a project. This is the 5th job completed to perfection and looking forward to the 6th!!!
Craig and his helper were very friendly and communicative. They did a very good job installing and staining board and baton siding and replacing the two swing-out doors at the front of my garage. There were a couple of issues to be fixed or adjusted, but they were taken care of without fuss. I would recommend Rider's Home Improvement and would call on them again.
