What keeps showing up in the recent reviews is speed: an old tub gone and a Kohler shower standing in its place inside a day. This is the Rite Window operation — now trading as Renuity — selling windows, entry and storm doors, and prefabricated shower and bath systems across Greater Boston from a Plainville address, with a BBB listing that counts 200 employees. The install crews carry the record. In July a customer described a Kohler LuxStone shower fitted into an awkward 80-by-46-inch bathroom and singled out how the crew cleaned the workspace each day; another had a full shower renovation finished in three days with the company pulling every permit. A window job that same month matched new woodwork to 1948 trim. Google sits at 4.6 across 21 ratings, HomeAdvisor at 4.4 across 26, and its BBB page is an A+ with accreditation dating to 2018. The friction sits before and after the crew shows up. One July reviewer says he was repeatedly told his windows qualified for Mass Save rebates, chose a costlier installation on that basis, and learned they did not qualify — the same account describes wrong information about Mass Save financing. A February window job left damaged molding and caulking the homeowner called horrible, with no follow-up call afterward. A third reviewer, writing from the hospital, counted five blocked sales calls after saying he wasn't interested. On Reddit this spring one commenter walked away over the rule that every decision-maker be present for a quote; another in the same thread said the product and the warranty held up. The name is the other thing to sort out before signing. The BBB record for the Plainville address now reads Renuity of Southeastern Massachusetts, the Angi and HomeAdvisor listings put the same brand at Woburn, and BBB records show a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration number for the company — worth checking against the state registry yourself, along with which entity your contract actually names. For a shower conversion or a window package installed quickly by a crew that cleans up after itself, this is a reasonable call. Get rebate eligibility in writing, settle who repairs interior trim, and confirm the company name on the paperwork.

“Rite Window is one of those companies that says all decision makers must be present when they come out to give a quote. My husband wasn't home and the sales guy made a huge deal about it until I told him that I make the home reno decisions in our house and we didn't need Rite Window's services.”

“Did you already get a quote from Rite window? We were able to replace 9 windows for about 14k, all triple pane.”

Great experience dealing with this company. They were very professional, from the sales rep, installers & customer service.

They KEEP CALLING even after I've told them I'm NOT interested. I've blocked the calls, but it still shows me that it has blocked FIVE calls from them. I'm in the hospital and they won't leave me alone!

Ritewindow did a good job of installing my windows but was poorly informed when it came to Mass Saves Rebates program resulting in errors on their end that have cost me substantial money. They repeatedly told me that my windows qualified for rebates causing me to opt for a higher priced installation. After numerous back and forth interactions between Mass Saves and Ritewindow it was clear they did not in fact qualify. Ritewindow mislead me. Additionally they provided incorrect information about financing through the Mass Saves programs and took specific actions that prevented me from using Mass Saves loans. The quality of the windows is good and the installation process was smooth but from my experience they were sloppy and unreliable in other areas.

What does window, siding, or gutter work cost in Greater Boston?
Typical Greater Boston range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Rite Window of Plainville. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
