Kevin Cordova runs it alongside Edwin Marroquin, who describes himself as a master carpenter, and the pair's names come up directly in almost every homeowner account of the work. What customers describe most is kitchen and bathroom work that stays on schedule. In a January 2026 review a homeowner said the crew showed up when they said they would and the job moved along without stress, with small problems handled quickly. A July 2024 reviewer described a master bedroom converted to include an en-suite bathroom, praising constant scheduling updates, being kept informed when field changes came up, and a finish that landed right on budget. A 2022 Houzz reviewer called the kitchen work efficient and punctual, and a November 2025 reviewer noted how neat and clean the site was kept. The platform numbers behind that are 4.8 stars from 62 Thumbtack ratings, with 92% of them five stars, and a single five-star Houzz rating. The written record on file is thinner than those counts suggest — six dated accounts between 2021 and 2026 across five sources. Two things are worth asking about. In a 2022 review posted to Birdeye, a homeowner warned that the company promised more than it delivered on a storm-damage job — a garage teardown and rebuild, side-of-house repair, stairs and a roof hole — after paying thousands of dollars up front as a deposit. Separately, BuildZoom's permit record shows two small 2021 Somerville permits withdrawn, one of them noted by the city as withdrawn because the contractor was not licensed; a $155,000 Belmont job in 2024 is recorded as finalled. BuildZoom also lists a Massachusetts Home Improvement Contractor licence, #199959, which it says it verified active as of March 2026. The company's stated tenure does not line up across its own listings: Thumbtack shows a "6 years in business" field while its About text claims over twenty years and a 2000 start, and Porch says "since 2020". They look like a reasonable call for a defined kitchen, bath or deck remodel in the Boston-Medford-Somerville area where owner involvement matters. Before signing, confirm the licence number directly with the state, ask for the payment schedule in writing rather than a large upfront deposit, and get references from a job the size of yours.
