Roberto Affordable Land & Tree Service

Roberto Affordable Land & Tree Service is a Watertown outfit built for one thing above all: showing up fast. Reviewer after reviewer describes calling for a quote and getting Jose Roberto's crew on-site within a day or two — sometimes the same day — whether the job is a yard cleanup, a tree removal, or clearing out a decade of invasive vines and stumps. The range of work is wide and the praise is specific rather than generic: hedges and overgrown boxwoods trimmed back into shape, yards cleared of autumn olive and bittersweet, sod laid in what one customer called record time, snow cleared off a large corner property through the winter, and trees pruned with gutters cleaned as part of a spring visit. Several customers describe hiring the company more than once — one for two years running, another for both landscaping and tree work — and getting the same responsiveness each time. The company, self-described as family-owned and run by Jose Roberto, says it has served the Watertown area for decades, though its two websites disagree on exactly how long: one says over 20 years, the other says since 1990. The complaints that do surface are real, if outnumbered. In an April 2026 review, a customer described a wood-chip and barrier job the crew rushed through, initially resisting staking the barrier down before the customer insisted. Two reviews from earlier in 2026 describe rougher experiences: one customer felt overcharged at $850 for a single lawn-mowing visit on a small yard, and another described a snow-clearing job left incomplete, paired with a poor attitude from the crew. For yard cleanups, tree work, and seasonal jobs like snow removal, this is a company with a large, mostly enthusiastic customer base and a track record of fast turnaround — just get a firm price in writing before the crew starts, given the pricing complaint on record.
