Boston Landscaping and Lawn Specialist, run by Henry out of Watertown, handles the recurring seasonal work most homes need — mowing, spring and fall cleanups, mulching, leaf removal, and snow clearing — along with occasional tree pruning and removal, across a stated 25-to-50-mile radius. The company's own site says it's been doing this for over 10 years; its Thumbtack profile separately lists 17 years, a bigger figure that doesn't quite match, though both point to a long-running operation either way. Speed and responsiveness are what nearly every review, across six years and two platforms, comes back to. A 2021 review described a next-day tree removal where the crew showed up early once the weather turned; a January 2022 review described snow cleared from that month's blizzard while the homeowner was away; and reviews from 2025 and 2026 describe leaf cleanups, mulching, and a new sod installation all completed within two or three days of the first call, even during a busy June when, as one Thumbtack reviewer put it, other companies they'd tried to hire simply went silent. Henry — sometimes spelled "Henrry" in reviews — gets credited by name for showing up, working through a heatwave, and pricing fairly. On Thumbtack specifically, the company holds a much larger sample than Google shows: a 4.8-star average across 240 ratings, a 2025 Top Pro badge, and a background-checked-owner listing, all consistent with the pattern in the reviews quoted here. There is one clear exception, though: a 2023 review described repeated attempts to get a promised quote that never arrived, calling the business undependable — worth asking about directly if the first contact doesn't move quickly, since every other account describes the opposite. An older, less detailed three-star account from 2021 is also on file, though it offers no specifics to go on. For routine lawn care, seasonal cleanups, and snow removal in the Watertown area, with tree work and masonry available too, this is a long-running local operation with strong, wide-sourced praise behind it; if a first quote request stalls, it's worth following up rather than assuming the silence means no.
Henrry and his team are fantastic! They take care of our spring and fall clean-up, mow biweekly and shovel us out in the winter! They do an expert job at pruning and shaping our trees and shrubs as well. They are reasonably priced and always show up when they should!
Hired for a yard cleanup and re-mulching. The price was fair, and the work was done well. It was done in June during a busy season. Many people you tried to hire just ghosted you, but they responded right away, and the work was done 3 days later. Plan to use them again.
Henry helped me with yard cleanup and mulching, and the yard looks amazing! He was very responsive, showed up on time, and did excellent work at a fair price. I’m very happy with the results and would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for yard work.
I had a fantastic experience with the Boston Landscaping team. Within two days I got a quote and install of my new sod. It looks fantastic and i'm very happy with the outcome.
I'm extremely happy with Boston Landscaping and Lawn. Their communication was excellent from start to finish, the quote was very fair, and the quality of the work was top-notch. Everything was handled professionally and efficiently.
