One name shows up again and again in 2026 reviews: a technician most reviewers call Jason (his last name is spelled Ospina, Ospino and Ospine across different reviews) gets credit for explaining the work clearly and clearing clogged drains and sinks quickly. A 2026 review said a competing plumber had quoted $3,000 to clear a clogged pipe, and the job cost about a quarter of that with Roto-Rooter. The Massachusetts plumbing license tied to the business shows as expired on the state registry. A handful of reviews raise cost and service complaints: a 2023 review said the company quoted $8,000 to remove roughly 80 feet of drywall after pointing to spray paint and wood shavings as its basis for calling the damage mold from about a half-inch of water; another 2023 review said the company charged $390 after saying there was nothing they could do; a June 2026 review called a $695 charge to unclog a tub drain too steep; and an April 2026 review said an automatic $99 trip fee applies and called the technician who arrived, Augustine, rude and unprofessional from the start.
