Roto-Rooter's Plymouth location is a high-volume operation - 4.9 stars across 505 Google ratings, 390 written reviews since 2023, and nearly 30 more in the last six months alone. The reviews describe a rotating cast of named technicians (Kiro, Christian, Ethan, Devin, Gabe, Joe, and others) consistently praised for showing up fast, explaining the problem clearly, and getting difficult jobs done - including a same-day fix for a toilet, tub, and sink that all backed up at once in an old house with old plumbing, and a crew that spent hours working a stubborn kitchen drain clog nearly 20 feet down the line. Response speed on emergencies is a recurring theme: a midnight sewer-line disaster got a technician on-site within the hour, and a late-night call at 11pm brought a technician to the door by 8am the next morning. One customer who braced for high costs given the brand's reputation ended up paying $125 less than a competitor's quote, plus a 6-month warranty. That reputation for cost is the one theme worth naming plainly, because it shows up repeatedly even in otherwise glowing reviews. Multiple reviewers who were happy with the actual repair still flagged the price: $335 for a 20-minute toilet snake, $681 for 25 minutes of drain work against a competitor's $300 quote for the same job six months earlier, and $700-plus in labor to install a $136 part. A handful of reviews describe real service problems beyond price - a February 2026 review said a toilet flapper replacement costing over $400 was leaking again within a week, and a November 2025 review described a one-hour arrival window stretching into a five-hour wait with no call. Those complaints are a minority against nearly 400 reviews, most of them detailing quick, technically capable work by name-checked technicians who explain what they're doing and clean up after. For anyone hiring here, the record suggests solid, responsive work - worth getting the price confirmed up front given how often it comes up.
We had a big surprise with the toilet tub and sink backing up all at once with all the water coming out from under the toilet. We knew this was to be an awful job. Old house with old plumbing. Tiny bathroom. Our amazing technician Kyro took care of the whole job going above and beyond as the job was very difficult and took much longer than expected. He was professional and efficient even cleaning up. More importantly very pleasant and personable. I also appreciated how he made sure we understood the process and the price in order to proceed. A great asset to your company. Thank you Roto Roota
Kiro came to our house to fix a partial blockage in one of our pipes from the basement toilet to the septic system. He explained exactly what he was going to do, and tried to do it in the most cost efficient way possible. He was pleasant and courteous and helpful in explaining what he problem was and how to avoid it going forward. Finally, he recommended a free follow up with a camera to see if anything was missed in the pipe, which we accepted. He came on a Saturday when everyone else was closed. Great work!
Kiro was very polite and helped solve this problem quickly!
Kiro did an outstanding job diagnosing our plumbing issues. He, also, did an exceptional job clearing the blockage within the house.
Service was great. He was on time and polite.
