The permit history is the clearest picture of what RSA Builds does — mid-size residential projects across Middlesex County and into Boston. RSA Builds is run by Rick Amodei out of Carlisle. He describes himself on the company's site as a general contractor with a broad range of in-house capabilities, working across eastern and southern Middlesex County and taking customers from the design stage through final inspection. Its Houzz profile puts a typical job between $10,000 and $100,000 and carries twelve project galleries — a Carlisle kitchen remodel, a Newton kitchen and bathroom, an apartment renovation on Lewis Wharf in Boston, a Plymouth basement, a Rockport house renovation, a Wellesley bathroom. One customer has written about the work. A Houzz reviewer in December 2021 said RSA built them a rear deck and called the crew as good as it gets. The licence is where the sources disagree, and the dates explain most of it. The Massachusetts registry verified home improvement contractor registration 190362 as active in August 2026. BuildZoom's profile still shows that same number inactive, giving an expiration of 18 January 2026, saying it last verified the licence expired on 5 March 2026, and noting the status was at one point cancelled. The registry check is the newer of the two. Houzz separately lists a construction supervisor licence, CS-109170. Ask to see the current registration certificate when you meet, and for two or three recent references on a project the size of yours. Confirm the registration status, the schedule and who runs the site before you sign.
