Ryan Gath Electric is a Westford-area electrical contractor with a registry-verified active Massachusetts electrician license and an A+ BBB grade. The company handles residential and commercial wiring, lighting, generators, remodel work, and larger projects, with Ryan Gath personally involved according to customer accounts. The recent customer history is unusually consistent: Google reviewers from spring and summer 2026 repeatedly mention prompt arrivals, clear estimates, responsive scheduling, generator maintenance, lighting, service work, and careful cleanup. One reviewer describes a next-day visit before a fire inspection; another says a crew redid an electrical service and kept a generator running for a sump pump while power was off. HomeAdvisor lists 4.8 stars from 28 ratings, while Google lists 4.8 from 70. There are two specific warnings in the longer history. A June 2025 review says the company stopped communicating on a smaller job, and a May 2023 reviewer reports repeated calls, no-show scheduling, and withdrawing an accepted offer after a month. Those complaints sit alongside many positive reports, but small jobs and follow-up deserve a direct confirmation before work begins. Ryan Gath Electric looks well suited to residential upgrades, generators, lighting, and commercial electrical work when quick response and hands-on oversight matter. Confirm the schedule, communication contact, and price in writing, especially for smaller projects.

I called Ryan in a panic. My fire inspection for my homesale was already scheduled and only then did my realtor happen to mention all the new requirements. Ryan came out to the house the very next day and ensured me they could complete the change over of 14 smoke, carbon monoxide & heat detectors, including the one 20' up in my vaulted family room ceiling before my inspection on Monday. Two days later, Adam was here. He worked professionally & efficiently. He swapped out all the detectors and left no mess or sign that he was even here. I still don't know how he managed to get the 16' ladder in & out all by himself. My only regret is that I'm moving and won't get to use Ryan Gath Electric again. But hopefully this review helps someone else take advantage of their exceptional service.
Adam, the technician, did a great job installing our pendant lights above our kitchen island. He came on time, prepared, and gave us good advice. Lucretia, the office manager did answer our questions with the scheduling for the job, and was flexible to respond to our needs. The proposal and invoice payments were easy straightforward.
Everyone involved with Ryan Gath Electric is top notch, from first meeting to estimates and onto the finished work. All was cordial, very professional, and they offered insight into the project we had not considered. Highly recommended!!
Great overall service. Pat and Adam were great. They arrived on time, did a great job on the project, provided some important advice and most importantly, were dog-friendly. New ceiling fans and lighting makes the place look even better. Highly recommend Gath Electric.
Professional, prompt and quality work!
