A 2025 customer wrote that a family member recommended Ryan Oil, located in Hamden, and that the company delivered all oil as promised. The company says it has been in business 37 years and serves Hamden, New Haven, North Haven, Wallingford, Branford and Milford. The heating and cooling side shows up in recent jobs. A recent customer said Ryan Oil replaced an aging central air system in a day, with Geno, DJ and Michael making it a priority not to disrupt the reviewer's wife, who works from home; that customer credited the leadership of owner Ed Ryan. Another recent job was a new water tank, which the customer said came with the piping changed as needed and an on-time arrival. A 2026 customer said that at 1am, with no heat in 4-degree weather, Ryan Oil was out within the hour restoring the heat, and thanked Tim. A 2024 customer called for an oil boiler tune-up and said the technician, Scott, explained why he recommended replacing each part. Later that evening, the 2024 customer noticed a loud sound from the boiler and a smell of fuel in the basement; on a Saturday, the on-call technician, Gino, was at the house in a little over an hour and replaced the motor, which had gone bad. The 2024 customer said the labor was covered because it was a call back, and that the boiler had run more efficiently since. A 2025 customer said Scott and an assistant came for an annual furnace inspection and cleaning. The same 2025 customer said the company had earlier found a pinhole in their hot water tank, repaired it, and found the tank was still under warranty. A 2021 customer thanked Ed for putting in a new oil tank, and a 2025 customer said they had been with Ryan since it took over for Jerry Fuel. Ryan Oil was contracted to replace our aging Central Air System. They're team of Geno, DJ, and Michael were prompt, professional and very courteous. This is a direct result of the leadership of owner Ed Ryan. My wife works from home and they made it a priority not to disrupt her unnecessarily. Exceptional Service from Ryan Oil! I have never had an oil company that treats their customers as wonderfully as Ryan Oil does. They are truly outstanding. They monitor our usage and automatically refill our oil without us ever having to call or lift a finger — it’s completely stress-free and such a relief. Their crew is absolutely top-notch. We have dogs, and the team regularly comes into our backyard to fill the oil tank. Every single time, they are incredibly thoughtful and careful to make sure the gate is securely latched before they leave.
