A full-gut bathroom in an 1870s house, brought up to modern building code: that was the job a returning customer described in May 2026, crediting Vinny Sapienza with coordinating permits, inspectors and subcontractors in a tight space. Sapienza Carpentry is an Amesbury carpentry and renovation company that says it is owned and operated by founder Vincent Sapienza and works across the North Shore and southern New Hampshire. Google shows 5 stars across 26 ratings, and the written reviews run from 2023 to 2026. Much of the work is exterior repair. In a January 2025 review, a homeowner said the crew replaced a good deal of rot under the siding, swapped a garage entry door, and passed the Amesbury building inspector's sign-off. An April 2024 customer described rot replaced along the foundation and the whole water table converted to PVC. Other 2024 reviews describe new garage siding and trim, framing an opening to new dimensions for a garage door company, and a deck torn out and rebuilt to the customer's own drawing, with the inspection paperwork handled. Inside, an August 2023 reviewer had baseboard, door and window trim done on a second-floor addition, with nail holes filled and caulked for paint, plus two attic windows installed. Vinny and his crew are amazing. He’s highly responsive to phone calls and does what it takes to make a job happen. He’s fair, honest and very well priced. He answered my first phone call in person and was at my condo the very next day to check out the job for his estimate. He made sure to get his insurance information to the management company quickly as well so we could go forward. Only 8 days from that first call, he came to do the work. (I needed demolition on a rotting and unnecessary layer underneath my 3rd floor balcony.) What great work they did! And they left both my neighbor’s balcony/patio areas under my unit SPOTLESS! I’m so thrilled and thankful for Vinny and his crew! I’ll be calling him for all my future projects!
