Amazing Painting Company is a family-owned painting and carpentry contractor based in Amesbury, run day-to-day by Sal — and very often alongside Fabio — who reviewers describe as being on-site for the work rather than just managing it. The company says it has served the Massachusetts North Shore and southern New Hampshire since 1998, and one long-time customer's 2021 review, describing 15 years of using them, backs up that history. The review record is remarkably deep and remarkably uniform: 37 reviews from 2021 through 2026 across Google and Houzz, essentially all five-star, describing interior and exterior painting jobs that come with real prep work — patching and sanding old plaster, protecting floors and furniture, repairing trim, base molding and woodwork before the paint goes on. Several reviewers specifically called out unplanned carpentry the crew handled without being asked, and one customer had eight decks and stairways prepped and stained for an HOA. Sal's responsiveness comes up constantly — quotes turned around within hours or minutes of an inquiry, jobs scheduled and started within a week, and pricing reviewers repeatedly call fair or the best of several competing quotes. Massachusetts confirms the company's home improvement contractor license, number 168040, is active, and the state's Supplier Diversity Office lists active Minority Business Enterprise and Disadvantaged Business Enterprise certifications for the company. Better Business Bureau gives it an A+ rating, and Google shows 5 stars from 121 ratings. There's essentially nothing negative to report here — the closest thing to a caveat is that the most recent review on file is from earlier this year, so this read leans on a deep but not brand-new track record. For anyone from Amesbury and the North Shore down through Boston and up into southern New Hampshire who needs a painting job done right — interior, exterior, or both, with the trim and woodwork repaired along the way — this is a crew with an unusually consistent multi-year record behind it. Given the demand this record suggests, expect to book a few weeks out.
The walls in our dining room are old and were in very rough shape after we removed wallpaper. Amazing Painting repaired the walls and did an excellent job on the paint. It looks like new construction!
Sal and team really are amazing! He responded to my inquiry, came out for an estimate, sent the estimate within a few hours, then came and completed the work all in less than a week. They had the best prices(30-40% less!) AND fastest turnaround out of 4 total quotes by local businesses. And it was just two of them doing all the work! Sal works hard and does incredibly detailed work. They painted most of our 3bd house including ceilings and trim in 2 days. Sal is friendly, personable, and seems to love what he does. He even remembered my son’s name.
Sal and team painted the entire interior of our home and did a fantastic job. They took care to prep the walls, including patching and sanding where necessary, and were careful and precise with the painting. They were very respectful of our space and made the whole process as easy as possible. The quality of their work was so good that I immediately referred my parents to them as well. I would hire them again in a heartbeat.
Wow, we are brand new to town and just Googled painters and were VERY fortunate to come across Amazing Painting Company. Sal and Fabio did an incredible job painting several rooms in our home. They look gorgeous. Sal responded within 15 minutes after sending an inquiry, came out the next day to provide an estimate, and then I had that estimate a couple hours later. And we were on the schedule just a few days later. I work from home and there were no disruptions - they were as quiet as you could possibly be and also cleaned up all the rooms when they were done. I also thought their prices were very competitive. I will not hesitate to use them again.
These guys are insanely focused on everything. Everything. Aside from a great internal painting job, they go above and beyond. I had some base molding that needed repair. I didn't think about talking them about it because that's more of a carpenter job. To my surprise, they had a miter saw on the truck! Super job on our paint job. We will be having them back.
