A house and barn roof replaced in two days: that was one customer's account of Save-On Construction in an August 2022 Google review. The customer described Gerry and his team replacing both roofs, with a price below some competing quotes. Save-On is based in Hampton, New Hampshire, and its customers have described roof, siding and window projects. In an April 2025 Google review, Peter and Claudette Bayko of Somersworth described a replacement roof and said Gerry stayed easy to reach, answered their questions and concerns, and supplied useful information. They also credited the crew with accommodating a last-minute request for extra work. A February 2025 review described a full vinyl siding replacement. That customer said Gerry's quote was the lowest of about a dozen. In an update, the customer reported that a windstorm nine months after installation caused a nail to pop in one spot of the trim, and that Gerry responded immediately with a fix. A March 2022 reviewer described hiring the company for a roof, windows and siding, praising how quickly each project started and the price compared with other bids. BBB identifies Gerry Connelly as the LLC's manager and gives an August 2017 business start date. Its profile carries an A+ grade; the business is not BBB accredited. Angi lists free estimates and asphalt shingle roof installation and replacement, along with a company claim of 36 years of experience.
Typical your area range for this kind of work, from regional averages — not a quote from Save-On Construction, LLC. Use it to sanity-check bids, then get the real number in writing.
A square is 100 sq ft of roof surface — bigger than the floor plan because of pitch and overhangs.
Estimated range
$9,000 – $18,600
Typical roofing project around $13,800
“Savon construction I’ve had then do half my barn and my house. Quick inexpensive just the right amount of shadiness. I’ve recommended them before to friends who were happy. Really good with these giant old ancient houses.”
Excellent experience from our first contact with Gerry to the completion of the replacement roof and beyond. Always easy to contact, Gerry answered all of our many questions and concerns and even more, provided us with much useful information. Gerry is a genuinely nice and honest businessman, communications and job satisfaction are a five stars plus! Great price, his crew was wonderful, excellent and proficient workers, went out of their way to do a last minute extra work request! Highly recommend Gerry and Save On Construction! Peter & Claudette Bayko, Somersworth, N.H.
Gerry gave us the best quote out of about a dozen for a full vinyl siding replacement. Almost too good to be true! We’re very glad we hired him. He went above and beyond to make sure we were happy with the outcome. He does what he says-we could always count on him. Very honest businessman! Update-After a bad wind storm 9 months after install, one spot in the new trim popped a nail. Minor, but Gerry responded immediately with the right fix. He proved that he means what he says when he warrantees all his work. Reliable, honest & responsive. I wish more businesses operated like Save-On
He does a lot more than roofs, he does siding and windows. He follows up and gives you a quote immediately. Highly recommended.
Gerry and his team from Save-On Construction did a great job replacing my roof this past summer. I had been in contact with Gerry and a few other companies for the past couple of years and Gerry always had my best interests in mind. His price was fair and actually a bit lower than some of the other quotes I had gotten. His team was able to replace my house and barn in two days. I will definitely be returning to Save-On Construction for future projects and can't recommend them enough!
I used it his company for my roof, windows and siding. They were very professional and super fast to start each project. My general contractor renovating the rest of my house kept a close eye open n their work and told me that everything they did was done very well and in the correct way. Plus they came in at a price that beat out everyone else. Super happy with their work and would recommend them highly to anyone needing any of these projects completed quickly and professionally with high quality work. Plus they were a pleasure to work with. Super personable!
