An 1,100-square-foot in-law cottage with its own basement, kitchen, two baths, a loft office and a deck sharing a patio with the main house — that is one 2023 project here, and the owners credited Marc Blanchard with running the build from the architect meetings onward. A May 2026 family had a large dormer added and effectively gained a second floor: two bedrooms, a full bath, an office nook and storage. MVP is a second-generation contractor in Windham working southern New Hampshire and the Merrimack Valley — new construction, additions, kitchens, baths, siding, roofing, windows and doors, decks and porches. The company says Marc Blanchard's father started it and that he runs it now; the Better Business Bureau, which has accredited it since 2007 and grades it A+, puts the business start in 1977 with Blanchard as president. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 129837, is active in that state's registry. What stands out in the record is how many of these customers come back. A 2021 reviewer had been using them more than ten years across sliding doors, exterior rot repair and gutters. Another wrote in 2022 about a full-house renovation, then a finished basement, then interior doors, closets, built-in shelving and a bathroom ceiling. Two builders review them as a subcontractor: one working in Tuscan Village since 2019 on siding, PVC, metal work and deck railings, another simply saying the crews get it done. A December 2025 client had a laboratory space renovated on a tight schedule and reported it finished early and under budget. Site conduct comes up repeatedly — a 2025 siding customer said the job site was clean at the end of every day — and so does scope creep handled gracefully: a 2024 kitchen job that started as a washer-to-stove swap grew into flooring, a second-floor laundry area, closets, electrical, painting and refinished hardwood. The one sour note is about getting a quote, not about the work. A 2024 reviewer had the owner out for an estimate, was told to expect a price in a few days, and after two weeks and a follow-up call had heard nothing. If you are shopping bids, pin down the date the quote is coming and who to chase. Worth calling for an addition, an in-law suite, siding or a whole-house remodel around Windham, Salem and over the line into the Merrimack Valley — and for a big build, ask which recent projects you can go look at, the way one 2024 customer was sent to a finished house to see the work before signing.

We recently hired Marc and his team for a major home renovation, which included adding a large roof dormer to our New Hampshire home, adding two full bedrooms, a full bath, office nook, and storage space – essentially adding a second floor to our home. From start to finish, the experience was excellent and we were definitely not easy clients. Marc, the owner, sets an incredibly high standard for his company. Unlike many contractors who disappear once the work begins; Marc was consistently present on the job site and attentive to every detail. His communication was top-notch; we always knew exactly where the project stood, and he was always available to answer our MANY questions. His crew was equally impressive. Our circumstances required we stay in the home during the build and Marc and his team made it work for us. With young kids in the house, a major renovation can be daunting, but his team was highly respectful of our home and mindfully accommodating of all our requests throughout the build. I specifically want to note how highly skilled his carpenter finishing crew is. The trim, doors, and final details were of the highest quality and really brought the whole project together. If you want a contractor who genuinely cares about the quality of their work and the satisfaction of their clients, look no further. I cannot recommend Marc and his team highly enough! We will be hiring them again when we are ready to finish our basement!
Marc and the Crew at MVP renovated our laboratory space. The job was somewhat complex, involving timeliness and layered steps in order to accommodate a tight working schedule while staying under budget. The job was done before the tight deadline scheduled and the quality of the work was excellent. Having done residential construction first for many years, I am well aware of what goes into commercial work. I would certainly call Marc up for any future projects.
I had my house vinyl sided by Mark and his crew. They did an excellent job, everyday job site was clean by end of day. The quality of work was excellent. Knowledge, professionalism was also excellent. Price was very affordable.
