Schofield's Septic Tank Services is a septic company; its BBB listing offers septic tank installation and excavation. On Google it shows 4.7 stars from 26 ratings. A recent Google customer called to have a septic tank emptied and was quoted $600. That customer said the young man with the first truck did not want to drive up the driveway because the truck was too big, and the two men who came next in a smaller truck could not pump the tank because it was not a pumping truck. They shot water into the pipe to see if it was plugged, which took about 15 to 20 minutes; the tank was never emptied, and a few days later the customer received a bill for $600. The same customer said they were told a return visit to empty the tank would cost another $600. A recent customer praised the office staff and techs as knowledgeable, kind and hard working. A 2024 customer said septic was back flowing into the basement of a house they had just bought, and within 3 hrs of the call the problem was fixed. A 2023 customer said the company responded on a Sunday to a problem at their condo association, then spent two straight days pumping out 3 3500 gallon loads of waste and repaired two major problems.
In mid June I called to see what it would cost to empty my septic tank and I was quoted $600.00, a couple of days later I called back to have it emptied out, they send a young man with a truck but the young man did not want to come up my driveway cause he didn't think he could make it cause the truck was too big, so he told me he would call for anther truck that was just down the road, a few minutes later two guys pulled up with a smaller truck but it wasn't a pumping truck, they drove up to analyze the situation. My wife and I had dug up the pipe and removed the Septic tank cover so everything would be ready to do the pumping, the guys told me that they could not pump out the septic cause the truck that they drove up with was not equipped to pump it out, insted they shot some water into the pipe to see if it was plugged, the water kept coming back out, so apparently it was not plugged, this took approximately 15 to 20 minutes, no other tests was done, I was quoted $600.00 to empty the tank and that was never done, The service guy told me I could pay him now, I told him to send me the bill in the mail. A few days later I received a bill for $600.00, I thought it was ridiculous for what they had done in approximately 15 minutes, They also told me that they would come back to empty out the septic and they would charge me another $600.00 According to what I found online I was way over charged for what they did in the short time they were here, they didn't even do any additional testing or pumping..

I Recently purchased a home and less than 2 months later I had septic back flowing into my basement. I called Schofields and within 3 hrs from the time I called they had the problem fixed. I’ve used them before on other properties and they’re always quick to arrive and fix the issue. Much appreciated!!!
