In a 2025 review, a customer said the job was quoted with two coats, that once work started they were told it needed two coats and would cost more, that the least expensive paint was used instead of the high-end Ben Moore they had specified, and that a promised refund never came. A 2023 customer who hired Jason and crew to paint walls and trim before moving into a newly purchased home said the walls were not cleaned or primed, holes were painted over rather than filled, and the first coat was so thin the previous color showed through. That 2023 customer said a job promised in one week kept getting pushed back, and they had to move furniture and boxes around painters, paint and wet walls. In a 2023 review, a customer said it took more than eight hours to scrape paint off floors, furniture, a leather couch, kitchen appliances and counters, and that the baseboards below the radiators were left unpainted. A 2023 customer said they paid half up front to have kitchen cabinets painted, the start kept slipping for two weeks, and Jason then said he couldn't do the job and refunded the money. There is a better side. In a 2023 review, a customer said Seacoast Quality Painting painted an entire kitchen and two halls. A 2023 customer working under a deadline said they started right away and were accommodating about additional work. In a 2022 review, a customer said Jason and his crew came back the next day for two small touch-ups and, even with a last-minute added room, finished in less than the original time frame.
He quoted me the job said two coats , it was through texts when he started he said I am Sorry these will need two coats and I have to charge more, we also specifically told him what brand of paint high end Ben Moore which he quoted but used the least expensive paint. Missed a lot, very shabby and he was supposed to refund me he did not, I am a business owner for 40 years big mistake to use him
The best thing about hiring seacoast quality painting is that you only have a 25% chance of them stealing your deposit....
My husband and I were recommended Jason and crew through close friends as we wanted to get our walls and trim painted and refreshed prior to moving into our newly purchased home. They had a great experience with him - and unfortunately we did not. We did inform our friends that we cannot in good conscious recommend him, and would be sharing public reviews of our experience. I do want to note that he removed my husband's review from a post on his Facebook page (reviews are disabled - red flag), and has successfully challenged and removed my husband's post here on Google (shame on Google for censoring honest reviews for people who have had reasonable negative experiences and need to warn others). Jason quickly responded to my husband's inquiry and came over for a walk-though, in which both parties agreed to a price (however he did not respect the deals he was offering via Facebook and what was offered to our friends), an expedited timeline (as we wouldn't have furniture in the house for two weeks making it a more simple process), and what work was specifically included (removal of hardware, cleaning of walls prior to painting, plastering of all holes, priming, removing certain mounting screws and of course painting the walls and our trim/doors). This was the last of the honest, quick communication. To note: - Jason's crew consists of men that have limited to no painting experience - Jason prefers you do not choose colors - when I sent him my four colors for my 1700 sq ft home, he condescendingly responded "you're one of those..." (we should have not proceeded with him at this point). I even made it easy for him by walking around and marking each wall, door and trim area with what color using painter's tape that I had purchased. - Speaking of painter's tape, Jason and crew used up all of the rolls that we had purchased - after stating that they would be supplying their own. - Jason and crew did not clean any of our walls, as is evident from the painted over dust next to our mantel - Jason and crew did not fill in any holes or take out any of the mounting hardware - rather, they just painted over them - Jason and crew did not prime - Jason and crew did one sloppy coat of paint and told us they were finished - meanwhile the previous color was clearly exposed as the coat was too thin. To rectify this, Jason and crew did come back to paint a second coat. I am still finding walls that supposedly were painted over a second and third time in which the prior colors are STILL exposed and bleeding through. - Jason and crew did paint the doors and trim - however incredibly sloppy with the white bleeding over the color. To rectify this, Jason and crew did come back to attempt to fix it, however they are still sloppy and it wasn't worth asking him to fix a third time. - Jason and crew did not remove any additional switch plates as they said they would - and instead painted over them. To note, we removed 95% of all switch plates, outlet covers and even door knobs prior to their work in order to ensure the agreed upon timeline could be more achievable. - Jason and crew did not adhere to the timeline we agreed upon. He said he would be done in one week, and then it kept getting pushed back, and when we'd stop by the house, we'd see that it was barely touched. Our neighbor told us after that him and his crew were barely there, and when they were, they were messing around in the backyard. After reminding him multiple times of our timeline and our date for moving into our home, when we began to drop things off the night prior to the movers, the walls were still bare. As there was no proactive communication, we could not change our moving date and instead had to move furniture and boxes around painters, paint, and wet walls, and then had to find a housing situation for us and our two dogs for the following week. - Jason and crew left bodily excrements in our toilets and did not flush on multiple occasions - disgusting. Avoid Jason and crew at all costs - he does not do the work he agrees to and is quick to con you out of your money.
The worst paint job I’ve ever seen. He told me he painted two coats, which was clear he did not because there were missed spots throughout the house. He also does not remove outlet covers (says it takes too long) and does not cover floors or furniture. The work is sloppy. It took me more than eight hours to scrape paint off floors, furniture, leather couch, kitchen appliances and counters. He did not paint the baseboards below any of the radiators, and had no explanation for this. I gave him the opportunity to come back and make it right. Two times he canceled and the third time he ignored my texts until I posted a poor review on Facebook and tagged his company name. Two days later, he asked me to remove the poor review and said he’d come back to fix the poor work. At this time I declined and asked for a 50% refund since I had to repaint everything. He has yet to respond to my last correspondence. Very unprofessional in every way.
We were under a deadline, and they started right away. We then needed some additional work, and they were very accommodating and agreeable. Their work is excellent. We highly recommend them.
