United Home Experts takes on the whole outside of a house — siding, roofing, windows and doors, gutters and exterior painting — from offices that include one on Fleet Street in Portsmouth. Its site says John Dudley started the company with his father in 1998, the two of them painting houses, and that it now works across five states. The jobs customers describe are big: a house stripped, wrapped and fully sided in six days in an April 2023 review, and siding and trim on a barn built in 1831 in a February 2026 one.
The front end of a project draws the warmest accounts. An August 2026 customer who had a couple of windows and a window frame replaced said everyone she dealt with made sure she knew exactly which products were going into her home. In a September 2023 review, a homeowner credited foreman Scott for communication and a crew led by Leandro for the Everlast siding that went on the house. Salespeople get named — Andrew, Brandon, Garth, Mike Brule — and reviewers describe options and price points laid out plainly before anyone signs.
What goes wrong tends to go wrong after the contract. An August 2026 reviewer wrote that a roof leak brought months of rescheduling and then no reply at all, despite the warranties and guarantees. A February 2026 customer said fascia boards were installed with pin nails, and that when a gutter tore off the house he was told he should have bought the screw package; the company said it would make it right, then backtracked. A June 2023 painting customer who praised the crew's work revised the review after paint peeled within a year, noting the company did correct many of the peeled areas.
Communication is the other sore point. An August 2026 homeowner trying to get interior painting done said the rep arrived over an hour late and that, once the contract was signed, he could not get answers on start dates, colours or timing. An August 2025 reviewer warned of a lack of accountability and poor communication, and a June 2025 customer who opened with "DO NOT HIRE THIS COMPANY" described a $63,000 quote for Everlast siding, trim and ten new windows on a two-week timeline. In a 2022 post on a local forum, a commenter whose condo roof and gutters had been done about ten years earlier called the result not great and not bad, with no real finishing touches and some debris left behind.
For a large exterior package — siding and windows together, a full wrap — the crews here can move fast and the sales conversation is thorough. Put the fastener and material spec in the contract (the screw package is a real line item with this company), name your point of contact for the days the crew is on site, and get in writing how a warranty callback is scheduled and how fast someone comes back out.

Worse Experience Of Life Why These People Don't Want To Talk To Me At All. So Frustrated To Try And Contact Joe And Blocked My Number, Sure Works Fine Calling You From A Private Number. You're In The Wrong Business Not Wanting To Talk To Your Clients.
Better hope they don’t cause a roof leak because they’ll never fix it despite all their warranties and guarantees. Months of rescheduling before outright ignoring is. So many false promises.
We had United Home experts replace a couple of windows, including a window frame. Everyone we spoke with throughout the process was kind, accommodating, communicative, and professional.
