A household lost its heat as the temperature dropped in November 2023. The company they were already using had diagnosed the problem and then offered nothing but back-ordered parts. They called Seashore, and Sarah Ingalls put together a Plan B. That is the position Seashore Comfort Solutions keeps turning up in — the second call, after someone else has run out of ideas. In April two technicians found an error left behind by the company that did the original installation, explained it and fixed it on the spot. In July 2025 a customer bracing for a new compressor had theirs repaired instead. In October 2024 a homeowner with post-and-beam construction, which makes ductwork awkward, said Rich came out and brainstormed an approach with them. Seashore works out of Gloucester and covers Cape Ann and the North Shore, installing, replacing and servicing heat pumps, central air, furnaces and mini-splits for homes and businesses, along with indoor air quality work, duct cleaning and dryer vent cleaning. The site says it is family owned and operated, with more than 40 years of combined experience on the team. The office is part of what customers write about, which is not common in this trade. Sarah comes up by name for explaining the process and giving precise pricing before anything is booked. One customer in April laid out the shape of an ordinary job here: technician on time, a diagnosis, a part quoted at one to three days, a call from the office the day it landed, and the fitting the next morning. On the vans, Nick, Ray, Rick, Dave and Patrick all get named. The history behind that is deep and steady: 98 reviews from 2019 to 2026 across seven sites — a 5-star Google average across 102 ratings, and 5.0 on both HomeAdvisor and Angi from 23 ratings each — plus an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau. Larger projects sit alongside the service calls: a 35-year-old furnace swapped out of a hard-to-reach spot in a 100-year-old house in 2023; heat pumps installed and two furnaces replaced in a 2023 job the customer said began with a contract spelling out the work and the costs; and, back in 2019, a Bosch five-ton heat pump system put in by Rich and Frank, who cleaned up at the end of each day. One thing to check for yourself: the two licence numbers on the company's site — HVAC contractor RC-148176 and technician RT-171983 — are the company's own statement rather than something confirmed against a registry. For a heat pump or central air install on Cape Ann, or a second opinion after another company has told you the system has to go, this is a shop whose customers describe getting the diagnosis explained and the dates kept. Ask about the install lead time when you book — one 2024 customer's job ran eight weeks from estimate to installation.
We had a wonderful experience working with Sarah and her team. We recently opened a small interior design studio in downtown Gloucester, and when we ran into an issue with the AC during a particularly hot stretch, they were incredibly responsive and were able to send Dave out right away. Dave was communicative, knowledgeable, and helpful throughout the process, and the space is now much more comfortable for us, and our design clients. We’re so grateful for the quick support and excellent service. Highly recommend!
The Tech arrived on time. He diagnosed the problem and informed us the it would take one to three days to arrive. The office kept us updated and three days later the office called and told us the part was in and could come the next day to install it. The tech showed up on time installed the part and made sure it worked properly. We have been a customer of seashore for over 6 years and are happy to recommend them.
The two technicians that serviced our system were prompt, knowledgeable and professional. They found an error that had occurred from our original installation with a different company and were able to explain the problem and fix it immediately. Very personable staff both in the office and in our home. Highly recommend them!!
I recently had a deep cleaning done on my mini-splits and couldn’t be happier with the service. The technician was professional, knowledgeable, and took the time to explain the process and answer all my questions. They were also very personable, which made the whole experience easy and stress-free. On top of that, their pricing was competitive compared to others I looked into. My units are running like new again—I’d definitely recommend them to anyone looking for quality work.
Sarah was a joy on the phone, explained the process clearly, and provided precise pricing. Ray was our technician and did such a great job. Very professional. Would highly recommend.
