“And general contractor Bob Ellis, of Seawood Enterprises, managed the renovation.”
Our family had the absolute pleasure of working with Seawood Enterprises on a major addition to our home in York to accommodate our growing family — specifically, creating more space for our three kids. From the very beginning, the team at Seawood didn’t just treat us like clients — they treated us like family. They took the time to understand our vision and needs, especially when it came to designing a space that would grow with our children. Throughout the entire process, from planning to execution, their attention to detail was second to none. Every step felt intentional and thoughtful — they truly cared about getting it right, not just getting it done. What stood out the most was the sense of trust we developed. Whether it was making decisions on materials, adjusting timelines, or just checking in, the Seawood team was transparent, patient, and responsive. They worked seamlessly with us, and with each other, and it was clear they take great pride in their craftsmanship and relationships. Now that the addition is complete, we not only have a beautiful, functional space that our kids love — we also have lasting relationships with the people who helped build it. We can't thank Seawood Enterprises enough for making what could have been a stressful project into a truly positive and memorable experience. Highly recommended for anyone looking for a company that builds with skill, heart, and integrity!
My wife and I are new to the area and had a kitchen remodel on our to do list. We found Seawood Construction ( Bob & Sean Ellis) thru our kitchen designer. Boy what a find ! Bob was hands on and his crew was very professional. Our home was made safe and dust free during the entire remodel process. Bob was instrumental in finding the fixes for those annoying issues that pop up on any construction/remodel job. He was very into getting things perfect and when a decision was needed he spoke up and moved towards a great result. Bob was adamant that he could create a light fixture on a crazy sloped ceiling in the kitchen. He was more than spot on. Bob was concerned with the weight of the new Island and quartz counter he installed. The bounce on the kitchen floor was not up to his standard and , though he asked, he already had the fix by shoring up the flooring. My wife and I are so pleased with the outcome and have enjoyed several great family and friends events this summer. Please feel free to reach out to us should you have any questions. Seawood Enterprises built our beautiful cottage and we couldn’t be happier! Bob and Sean were wonderful to work with, clearly communicating with us every step of the way. With so many moving parts in a new build, it was reassuring to have Bob and Sean taking care of the logistics. They do beautiful work and we could feel the love they have for their craft. If you’re lucky enough to get Seawood to work on your project, you too will see how dedicated they are to their customers, the project and their work.
Seafood Enterprises is awesome! Bob, Sean and the Seawood team have done several major projects for us over the past 10+ years, including a full gut-rehab of a beach cottage, and most recently a new kitchen in the same cottage after a water leak. We are absolutely thrilled with the new kitchen - the work quality is amazing, and it was delivered on time and on budget. Whenever we need a project done, we always call Bob first. We highly recommend them.
My experiences with Seawood Enterprises have been excellent. We used their services for small remodeling projects and I eventually used their services for new home construction. Bob and Sean worked so well on my behalf making the entire project a wonderful experience. I highly recommend this trustworthy company.
