Security Pest Control is a Brookline-based, self-described family business that says it has served Massachusetts and southern New Hampshire for over 30 years, working rodents, termites, ants, bed bugs, ticks and nuisance wildlife like bats and squirrels. Its Google page runs 4.9 stars from 44 ratings, and one technician's name comes up again and again in the reviews: Jim. The recurring theme is speed on stinging-insect calls, sometimes on short notice — one reviewer described discovering a wasp nest on a weekend ahead of a family gathering and having a technician come out anyway. A bedbug treatment came with a scheduled follow-up inspection built in seven days after the initial visit, and an ant job got a similarly hands-on explanation of where the problem areas were and how they'd be treated. Two accounts are worth knowing before calling. A February 2026 review described a rude phone call and an outright refusal to work in parts of Boston over parking. Separately, in a review from August 2024 (updated in May 2025), a customer described a bat problem that came back after the company lost its bat technician and couldn't honor its three-year warranty on the original work — though it did refund the original payment. A solid call for a stinging-insect emergency or ongoing rodent, ant, or bedbug work with technicians who walk through what they're doing. If the job is specifically a bat or wildlife issue, it's worth asking upfront whether they currently have staff for that kind of work.
