Seekonk Handyman

Seekonk Handyman is a one-man operation with a short written history and three customers who took the trouble to write. In May 2024 one had a shed put right — floor, wall and window — and called the communication, the workmanship and the price all fair. Two years earlier, in May 2022, a homeowner hired Paul to deal with a front porch support post rotting at the base: the estimate came quickly, he turned up when he said he would, and he walked the owner through what might be found once the post came out. The business runs from 365 Middle Street in Fall River as M&G Building Company, trading under the Seekonk Handyman name, and covers southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island — Attleboro and North Attleboro, Seekonk, Rehoboth, Somerset, Swansea, Dighton and Fall River on one side of the line, Barrington, Bristol, Cranston, East Providence, Middletown and Newport on the other — taking repairs, carpentry, small remodeling jobs and seasonal maintenance. Registration is where to take care. The company's site says it is registered as a home improvement contractor in Massachusetts and with the Rhode Island Contractors' Registration and Licensing Board, but publishes no number for either. BuildZoom lists both — a Rhode Island handyman registration #40828 and a Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration #186126 — as inactive, with the Rhode Island one carrying an expiry date of March 2023. Directory pages also differ on who runs the business: the website names Brian, while the BBB file and BuildZoom name Paul Noury, at two addresses sharing a single phone number. For a shed, a rotted porch post, a door that will not shut — the small jobs larger outfits turn down — the handful of people who have written describe a fair price and straight answers. Before work starts, ask for the current Massachusetts and Rhode Island registration numbers and check them yourself, and get the scope and the price down in writing.
