After receiving a septic report that raised serious concerns about my system, I hired this company for a second opinion—and I'm very glad I did. As this inspection was for the sale of my home, timing was a critically short window. I called Mike Borruso at 8:30a and he was at my house by 9:30a. Unlike the first inspector, who stated that my distribution box was flooded without ever excavating or exposing it, this inspector took the time to do a thorough evaluation. He physically excavated and exposed the distribution box, inspected it directly, and performed a flow test by introducing water into the system. He observed water flowing properly through all four outlets serving the leaching field galleries and clearly explained his findings. I appreciated his professionalism, attention to detail, and commitment to evaluating the system based on actual observations rather than assumptions. His inspection provided clarity during a stressful real estate transaction and gave both me and the buyer confidence in the results. I highly recommend this company to anyone looking for an honest, thorough, and knowledgeable septic inspection.

I won’t bury the lead for those that may not go on to read this entire review: to put it plainly, Mike Borruso was integral in our ability to close on the dream home we now call ours. That’s not an overstatement, it’s reality. When the inspection yielded failed cesspools, knowing that a septic system is one of the most expensive parts of a home, we were devastated that we might not close. We did our due diligence and had FOUR separate septic installers tour the property, which has everything going against it as far as a septic system is concerned: ledge, slope, two structures, a central well, and a perennial stream. “This isn’t going to be easy,” each one said, and every one of them delivered exorbitant quotes ranging from 60-70k. The sellers were not going to cover 100% of that, and all felt lost. Then Jason Walter gave us Mike’s name and he came to the property immediately. He agreed that it was an extremely challenging site and even initially hesitated on taking the job. Then I watched him tour the property while possibilities and ideas flowed freely, questions were welcomed and answered, and by the end of it, he was excited for the challenge. Not only did he deliver, but he put in a beautiful new system with a central exception for WELL below every other quote, a number the sellers agreed to cover in full. In less than two weeks no less, in a notoriously stickler town when it comes to septic installs. Mike Borruso is the closest to a septic engineer you’re gonna find, but without the price tag. He’s fair, professional, super smart, and accessible. Mike broke away from his busy schedule to view my leach field issue. Mike checked out our 41 year old septic system including septic tank baffle, distribution box and camera scope of leach field lines. Mike made some recommendations, from a lower cost temporary fix procedure to the system's full on replacement down the road, which is inevitable given its age and leach field saturation. His quick response, candor, professionalism, honesty and most importantly, no "hard sell" was certainly refreshing and welcomed. I highly recommend you have Sep Tech perform any repairs to your septic system as Mike is a great find and extremely knowledgeable.
