Two very different phone calls reach the same man. In a September 2023 review, a homeowner described a free, no-pressure consultation that ended with them picking out exactly the roof they wanted; in August 2024, a customer who needed a last-minute 15-yard dumpster got owner Roger Silva directly on the line and a price they called competitive. Silva Built Construction runs both sides out of Rehoboth: roofing and siding, and a roll-off and hauling operation covering southeastern Massachusetts and Rhode Island. The company says it started in 2004 as a general contractor doing framing through finish work and custom remodeling, then narrowed toward roofing, siding, trucking and waste hauling. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, #166456, is active on the state registry; its own site also lists a Massachusetts construction supervisor licence and a Rhode Island general contractor registration. Both the company and its Better Business Bureau listing name it a Certified Owens Corning Roofing Preferred Contractor, and the BBB page shows an A+ grade, 16 employees and Roger Silva as president. The roof jobs customers wrote about date to 2023, and they turn on materials and cleanup. That April, a homeowner said Roger walked them through the grades of roofing material before anything was ordered. In March 2023, another wrote that the crew worked around the landscaping and left it undamaged. A September 2023 customer had the quote and the insurance information handed over with the proposal, and an October 2023 reviewer called the roofing crew competent and thorough and said questions got answered along the way. On the hauling side, the praise is about logistics. A February 2025 customer used the company for a container and then for demolition and disposal of old junk in the yard; an April 2025 reviewer valued the call ahead when the truck was minutes out, and clear guidance on what could and could not go in the box; an August 2025 customer rented a 20-yard and called the price fair. Silva Built is a straightforward call for a roof replacement, or for a container when a project generates more debris than a truck bed holds. Get the written quote and the insurance certificate up front the way earlier customers describe, and ask which shingle line the price covers before you sign.
