SIMMCO Fencing & Yard is the kind of shop a homeowner calls for a gate that's stopped working right. In a 2024 review, a customer described a custom, heavy privacy gate — anchored to a 6x6 post surrounded by pavers — that had sagged over the years to the point it was hard to lock, and had even begun swinging open in the wind. With dogs to keep secured on the property, the repair mattered, and the reviewer called the result "exceptional service." With only one detailed account on file, there isn't a broad track record yet, but the one job described was a real repair, not routine maintenance, and the outcome satisfied a customer who had real security concerns riding on it. Worth a call for gate repair or fence work, especially if you're dealing with a gate that's aged, misaligned, or no longer latching properly.
I wanted to write this review because I believe it’s important to acknowledge exceptional service and I am extremely happy with the work Simmco Fence did for me. My privacy gate needed repair work. This is a custom gate that was made years ago; the gate is a heavy door and is anchored to a 6x6 post that is surrounded by pavers. Overtime it began to sag making it difficult for me to lock and unlock. I have dogs that patrol my property and need to always have my yard secure. Once the gate started to suddenly open from the wind, I knew it was time to hire a professional to fix it. Right from the start Eric was very conscientious and hardworking. The project expanded beyond the initial assessment when it was discovered that there was termite damage to the posts. Although the scope of the work would require more time, labor, and material than what we all initially planned Eric stayed committed to doing the job correctly and always made me feel as though he would get the job done no matter what. This was evident as he and his helper always showed up when they said they would, worked late and sometimes until 9pm, and followed through to completion. Throughout the project there were challenges that they successfully solved, and I appreciated Eric’s timely efforts to communicate with me; because of his expertise there were no surprises! Both Eric and Dave are hardworking, thoughtful, and mindful especially when it comes to safety. Eric is a perfectionist and it shows in his work! Simmco Fence did a fantastic job rebuilding my entrance gate area and I couldn’t be happier!
