A woman in Las Vegas called on a Friday at 6pm about her mother's house in New Bedford. Kerry answered within five minutes and was on the doorstep at 7am Saturday — that 2025 account is the shape of this business: one man, a phone he actually picks up, and a long list of small jobs. Kerry's Handyman Service LLC runs out of Robeson Street in New Bedford with no website and no directory profile — just 25 Google reviews averaging 4.8, running from 2023 to this summer. What they describe is unusually varied for a handyman listing. Rot repair comes up most: a 2025 customer had significant wood rot around a back door reaching up to the roofline, and describes Kerry rebuilding the rotted sections, replacing the frame and jamb to fit the existing door, then pulling and reinstalling a gutter to fix rot he had spotted behind it. A 2023 reviewer had a water-damaged living room ceiling repaired, new front railings installed and an outdoor step rebuilt. Others list fence installs, a basement laundry subfloor, deck work, a shed, a toilet swap and a shower knob. Pricing and communication are the second refrain. Several reviewers say the work was priced in advance and changes flagged in real time; one 2024 customer wrote that everything came in "on time and on budget with no mess to clean up after." Two things to weigh. There is one bad account, from May 2023: a customer set a 7am appointment, Kerry did not appear, said he was looking at other jobs, then sent someone who took the old fence down and never came back — after which calls and texts went unanswered. Nothing like it appears in the two years since, but a one-man operation juggling jobs is exactly where that failure mode lives, so pin down dates in writing. Second, several reviews describe work Massachusetts licenses separately — an outdoor light circuit diagnosed and fixed in a 2025 review, "a couple of small electrical projects" in another, a toilet replaced, shower repairs. Ask who holds the electrical or plumbing licence before that part of a job starts. For rot, carpentry, railings, fences and the accumulated small-repair list, this is a well-reviewed local option who answers the phone. Get the schedule and the scope in writing, and settle the licensed-trade question up front.
Quick and good service and for good prices too. Thanks for your help

Kerry is professional and kind. He gets the job done!! I recommend his services.
Kerry completed several jobs at our home and we are very grateful for his work. He helped us with a list of projects from installing a new custom fence, shoring up another old leaning fence, removing old pvc piping from a roof, repairing and painting a wooden trash shed and compost bin, hanging a curtain rod, replace a new door handle, as well as a couple of small electrical projects. We were very pleased with his professionalism and the quality of his work. We will definitely be contacting him again in the future.
