Twenty-three windows into an 1874 house, fitted by one man working alone, cleaning up at the end of every day. That January 2026 account is the kind of job Rydica Home Solutions gets called for — and the customer who wrote it, like nearly everyone else, was writing about Brian. Rydica is a Newton LLC co-owned by David Miller, who handles the books, and Brian Miller, who runs the sites. Its Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration, number 211578, is active and held in the company's own name. The work is windows and doors: Andersen and ProVia units, entry doors, sliding patio doors, storm doors, screen doors, plus the siding and gutter jobs that come with them. The thing that recurs across dozens of accounts is repair before replacement. In a July 2025 review a homeowner said Brian solved an Andersen double-slider problem other contractors had failed at, saving the cost of a new door. A February 2026 customer had a sliding door that other contractors wanted to replace outright; Brian found it had simply been installed wrong. In September 2025, a patio door shattered on Labor Day and, the customer wrote, he had a quote within half an hour of the website enquiry, came out on the holiday to secure the glass, and had the new door in within the week. Roughly a dozen reviews landed in the last six months, all positive. The older record reads differently, and it is worth reading. On Angi and HomeAdvisor — where the reviews stop in 2022 and describe fences, railings and handyman jobs rather than windows — the score is 4.2 from nine. A July 2022 customer wrote that a railing job failed and calls were never returned. A June 2020 customer believed she was overcharged, though she said she would hire him again. Nothing similar appears in the six years since, but pin down price and scope in writing before work starts. One more thing to sort out on the phone: the company's own tenure claims do not agree with each other. The website says it has served Massachusetts since 2019, and on the same site says "the last five years and counting" and "over 20 years of experience", while the Angi listing claims 22 years and BBB records the business as started and incorporated on 22 February 2022. The twenty-year figure appears to be Brian Miller's own carpentry and property career, not the company's. A solid call for window and door replacement around Newton, Brookline, Watertown and Wellesley, particularly if you would rather have something repaired than sold a replacement.
