Slocum Tree Service

Two 70-foot, semi-dead ash trees less than 20 feet from a deck: in a 2020 review, a customer said Mr. Slocum studied the situation, agreed on a price and brought in equipment and a crew who took the trees down piece by piece. In that 2020 account, they stacked the big pieces onto a truck, ground up the rest, hauled it all away and moved their trucks past large maple trees without damaging a twig. Slocum Tree Service says it has been in business for 19 years, and its website describes clearing old stumps and large numbers of trees to make way for new projects, for contractors and new home developers. In a 2016 review, a customer said the company removed several very large trees from tight spaces without damaging property. A 2016 customer said Steve Slocum and his crew handled tree removal on two different home sites and kept them informed through the entire process. In a 2017 review, a customer said he was there to evaluate the problem within the hour, came back with his equipment, did the job and cleaned up all the debris in a few hours. A 2016 customer said the team arrived on time and completed the job earlier than expected. In 2016, a customer said a neighbor planned to call about having three trees taken down after watching the work. A 2025 customer called the company affordable and timely. Slocum holds 4.9 stars from 49 ratings on both HomeAdvisor and Angi, 4.5 stars from 11 Google ratings, and an A+ grade from the Better Business Bureau.
