Spencer 4 Hire Construction

Spencer 4 Hire Construction is Spencer Keefe's Rowley-based general contracting company, and the written record — 21 reviews running all the way back to 2019 — describes a contractor customers trust with everything from a bathroom remodel to managing a $1 million home's full interior and exterior renovation. The reviews are unanimously five stars, and the specifics show real range. One recent client says Spencer has overseen several remodeling projects for them, including a kitchen renovation, a bedroom closet addition, and a deck repair, calling him calm, deliberate, and someone who stands behind his work. Another has hired him for multiple interior and exterior projects since 2020, most recently a basement update with new baseboards, trim, and lighting, and says he brings in quality subcontractors for specialized work like electrical. A challenging early project — replacing a leaking roof deck, windows, and repairing significant water damage — is described as a case where Spencer solved problems other contractors might have struggled with. Scale comes up too: one reviewer describes Spencer managing the design and major renovation of both the exterior and interior of a $1 million home, efficiently and cost-effectively enough that they'd hire him again. Basement finishing shows up more than once as a specific project type customers are happy with. And in an unusual endorsement, a fellow contractor who has never hired Spencer directly says his own company loves being a trade partner with Spencer 4 Hire and admires the craftsmanship on every job. Spencer's Massachusetts home improvement contractor registration is verified active. The company, founded in 2015, describes itself as offering kitchen and bathroom remodeling, new home construction, exterior remodeling, and additions across Essex County, with a self-described team of certified artisans. Nothing negative appears anywhere in the 21-review record. For a homeowner managing a multi-trade project — a remodel with several moving pieces, or a full-scale renovation — this is a contractor whose reviewers, including at least one industry peer, describe as organized, honest, and dependable across nearly a decade of work.
