A 2018 customer said Al spent more than two hours on a home inspection and handed over a report that led them not to buy the house, calling it money well spent. In a 2019 review, a customer buying a house said Al arrived early, completed the report the same day and answered questions about it in the evening. A 2017 customer said Al documented everything from the roof to the basement and noted items they would not have considered, while explaining that his job was to report on the condition of the dwelling, not to assess its value or the cost of repairs. A 2018 customer said Al responded to an inquiry promptly, provided a home inspection on short notice and showed up on time. A 2017 customer described the inspection as very fast and said that a few weeks after moving in, windows and interior doors that did not close properly turned up that were not in the report. That 2017 customer said their oil company later found a leaking oil tank, and that when they raised it, Al replied, "Well that's your word against mine".
